G2 Secures ESL Pro League Season 18 Victory Against Lynn Vision
Bogdan LashchenkoG2 made an impressive start at ESL Pro League Season 18 with a 2-0 win over Lynn Vision, but it wasn't without some thrilling moments. Lynn Vision pushed G2 to the brink on Anubis, forcing the game into overtime, but G2 managed to secure a 19-16 victory. They followed it up with a dominant 16-5 win on Inferno.
Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen was a standout player for G2, especially for fantasy players who had chosen him for his affordable price. He tallied an impressive 49 kills and topped the scoreboard with a 1.36 rating. After the series, HooXi mentioned in an interview that it had been a while since they had played, so they were a bit rusty, but it felt good to secure some kills.
On Anubis, G2 started strong on the T side, taking a commanding 10-1 lead. However, Lynn Vision mounted a late comeback, tying the score at 15-15 and forcing overtime. In the end, G2's experience and skill prevailed as they won four out of the five rounds in overtime.
Inferno followed a similar pattern, with G2 initially taking a big lead. Lynn Vision showed signs of life late in the half, but G2 dominated on the CT side, securing a 16-5 victory and sealing the series 2-0.
G2 will now face the winner of the Liquid vs. Virtus.pro series for a spot in the playoffs, while Lynn Vision will compete against the loser of that series in the lower bracket.
