Astralis showcased their dominance in a convincing victory against Heroic in a two-map showdown at IEM Cologne. The Danish powerhouse emerged triumphant, securing their place in the semi-finals with ease (Ancient 16-7, Inferno 16-11), outperforming their domestic rivals in a one-sided encounter.

Nicolai "device" Reedtz and Christian "Buzz" Andersen were standout performers, with Buzz leading the server with an impressive 1.59 rating, including a magnificent 1vs3 clutch. Device wasn't far behind, boasting a 1.45 rating, cementing his position among the top three highest-rated players at IEM Cologne, trailing only Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov and Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut.

After the match, Buzz joined the broadcast for a post-match interview and discussed their preparation against Heroic. He credited blameF for a solid game plan and praised the team's communication and individual performances.

Astralis is now set to face off against G2 in the semi-finals, with the high-octane battle scheduled for Saturday at 20:00.

On the other side of the server, Heroic faced on-stage difficulties once again. Casper "cadiaN" Møller acknowledged his team's shortcomings but also acknowledged Astralis' deserved victory, highlighting the intensity of the matchup.

The analysts on the desk echoed similar sentiments, with Yanko "YNk" Paunović and Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunović suggesting that Heroic may need roster changes before the release of CS2 if they intend to compete for major titles.

The quarter-final commenced with a closely contested first half on Ancient, with Astralis narrowly leading into the second half. However, Heroic struggled on their favored CT side, failing to secure a single round as Astralis dominated with a 16-7 victory.
