The first quarter-final of the major started on the Inferno map, which turned out to be the choice of the European team. But if the starting segment went in an equal fight, then the Outsiders players caught the wave and adjusted to the pace of the opponent. As a result, fnatic came up with nothing in the attack, having received a twofold backlog - 10:5. After switching sides, keita's team managed to show a quick start and even approached the opponent. But here the Outsiders team joined the game, which unleashed their attack and took the lead in the series — 16:11.

Next, the teams moved to the Mirage map, which became the choice of the Outsiders. Here the European team started right off the bat, but the hosts' attack quickly dotted the i's and ran ahead. As a result, the Outsiders again showed a confident attack, knocking out a good advantage before a short break — 9:6. After the side switch, fnatic players still tried to cling to the result by winning the return force round. However, the Outsiders did not let go of the game any further in order to reach the 1/2 finals of IEM Rio Major 2022 — 16:8.
