The Bad News Eagles team defeated FaZe Clan with a score of 2:1, thus eliminating the wards of RobbaN from IEM Rio Major 2022. While FaZe Clan takes 15-16th place and earns $20,000, the Kosovar team goes to the fourth round of the Legends stage, where they will still compete for place in the playoffs.

The first knockout match from the Legends stage started on the Vertigo map, which became the choice of the Kosovar team. At the same time, FaZe Clan, despite the long-standing dislike on the map, showed a good defense and even won six rounds — 9:6. After switching sides, Bad News Eagles managed to take the lead, but the European team did not let go of the opponent and reached the overtime. And yet, here the nominal “hosts” managed to hold back the onslaught of the world ranking leader, having managed to take the lead in the series — 19:16.

Next, the teams moved to the Nuke map, which became the choice of FaZe Clan. Here, the wards of RobbaN managed to open up, showing an excellent attack and gaining a two-fold advantage - 10:5. After the change of sides, the Kosovar team completely disappeared from the radar, never adapting to the opponent's defense. As a result, FaZe Clan quickly reached the victory and equalized the score in the series — 16:8.

Everything was decided on the Mirage map, which started with a big handicap for the European team - 11:4. After the side switch, Bad News Eagles began to close the gap, but at some point, karrigan and the company reached the match point. But here the Kosovars turned on a cool defense and reached the overtimes, where they were able to create a sensation by knocking out FaZe Clan from IEM Rio Major 2022 - 22:20.

IEM Rio Major 2022 takes place from October 31 to November 13 in Brazil at the Jeunesse Arena and at the Riocentro convention center. As part of the championship, 24 teams from the CIS, Europe, North and South America, and Asia are fighting for a total prize pool of $1,250,000, ranking points in the BLAST Premier table, as well as tickets to BLAST Premier: World Final 2022 and IEM Katowice 2023 for the winner.
