Ninjas in Pajamas qualified for "legends" of IEM Rio Major 2022

The Ninjas in Pajamas team defeated Cloud9 with a score of 2:1 at the IEM Road to Rio 2022 European RMR A, thanks to which they directly made their way to the "legends" stage of the upcoming IEM Rio Major 2022. In turn, the Russian team goes to the fourth round of the RMR tournament, where else will he get his chance to get to the major.

The duel between the teams Cloud9 and Ninjas in Pajamas started on the Mirage map, which became the choice of the Russian team. At the same time, the Swedes quickly seized the initiative on the server, successfully winning back for defense - 9:6. After switching sides, Cloud9 still tried to win back, but in vain. As a result, Ninjas in Pajamas closed the opponent's pick and took the lead in the series — 16:9.

Next, the teams moved to the Inferno map, which turned out to be the choice of Ninjas in Pajamas. Here the first half ended in an equal fight, albeit with a minimal advantage in favor of the wards of the groove. However, after the switchover, the Swedes disappeared from the radar, while Cloud9 played confidently in the end and equalized the score in the series — 16:11.

Everything was decided on the Vertigo map, which started with a score of 9:1 in favor of the Russian team. Here, Ninjas in Pajamas joined the game, which suddenly woke up and approached the opponent. As a result, the Swedes managed to finally break the opponent in order to get the final victory and qualify for the “legends” of the upcoming IEM Rio Major 2022 — 16:12.

Note that in the fourth round of IEM Road to Rio 2022 European RMR A, the Cloud9 team will play with 1WIN.

IEM Rio Major 2022 will take place from October 31 to November 13 in Brazil at the Jeunesse Arena and at the Riocentro convention center. As part of the championship, 24 teams from the CIS, Europe, North and South America, and Asia will compete for a prize pool of $1,000,000, ranking points in the BLAST Premier table, as well as tickets to BLAST Premier: World Final 2022 and IEM Katowice 2023 for the winner.
