paiN Gaming lost to Sprout 1:2 and were eliminated from IEM Cologne 2022 Play-In. According to the results of the championship, the team from Brazil took the last place and earned $2,500. In turn, the Danish-German team made it to the second round of the lower bracket, where they will play with the loser of the pair Movistar Riders — Vitality.

The first round of the lower bracket started on the Ancient map, which became the choice of the Danish-German team. But if the first half went in an equal fight, albeit with a minimal advantage in favor of the Brazilians, then after the change of sides, Sprout began to equalize its position. As a result, the wards of BERRY showed confident defense, allowing the opponent to win only two rounds, after which they took the lead in the series — 16:10.

Then the teams moved to the Dust 2 map, which became the choice of paiN Gaming. Here, the Brazilians felt much more comfortable, closing the half in attack with a score of 9:6. After the side switch, the game leveled off as Sprout came up with several rounds per attack. But in the end, the Brazilian team managed to keep the initiative, and at the same time equalize the score in the series - 16:12.

Everything was decided on the Vertigo map, the first half of which ended with a minimal advantage in favor of Sprout. Well, after the switch of sides, BERRY's wards managed to hold back the opponent's onslaught, thus knocking out paiN Gaming from IEM Cologne 2022 Play-In - 16:10.
