Elisa Invitational Spring 2022: results of the first day of the playoffs

Following the results of the first day of the playoffs, the teams ECSTATIC and SKADE leave the tournament. SINNERS defeated ECSTATIC 2:0 (Overpass 22:20; Vertigo 16:14), while MASONIC defeated SKADE 2:1 (Nuke 16:13; Inferno 11:16; Dust2 25:22).

The first map of the confrontation was remembered for the good execution of commands for the attacking side. The teams had no protection on Overpass. SINNERS started with a six-round streak, only after that, ECSTATIC began to take at least some rounds for the strong side. As a result of the first half, SINNERS get a great advantage, taking nine rounds for the terrorists. However, after a failed half, the ECSTATIC team begins to destroy their opponent powerfully. SINNERS failed to capitalize on the power of the defense on Overpass and struggled to get into overtime. In overtime, everything changed, defense dominated there. And as soon as the Czechs managed to take more than one round on the side of the attackers, they completed the map on defense without any problems. SINNERS 22:20 ECSTATIC.

The second map was no less tense than the first. The Czechs again start with a streak of six rounds, but already on the defensive side. After that, ECSTATIC holds successful rounds and goes to a comfortable six rounds in attack. After switching sides, ECSTATIC didn't slow down and broke through to the 14-round mark. In turn, SINNERS had 12. Spectators mentally prepared for the third, decisive map, but SINNERS managed to break through the defense and win the map, even without additional rounds. MASONIC vs. SKADE

On the first map of Nuke, the SKADE team started on the defensive side. Which was not carried out in the best way, the team obviously had to take more rounds than nine. After the switch of sides, the MASONIC team began to punish SKADE for such an insecure attack. The Bulgarians from SKADE managed to take four rounds in attack and reduced the score to 13:10 in their favor. On the second map, SKADE started strongly on the offensive side, MASONIC's defense was not as formidable as on Nuke. Half goes in favor of the Bulgarian team with a score of 11:4. After the side switch, SKADE struggled against full rounds from the Danes. However, they took their rounds and ended Inferno in their favor. SKADE 16:11 MASONIC.

The third card was the most intense and exciting. In the first half, SKADE managed to take 7 rounds for the attack, which is a good result for Dust2. However, after switching sides, MASONIC on a furious streak approached the mark of 14 rounds in their favor. It was only then that SKADE woke up with a feeling of fear of relegation from the championship, after which they managed to break into overtime. But in overtime, we were waiting for no less dense struggle. Teams now and then could not take a sufficient number of rounds for the attack. And only MASONIC managed to take as many as three rounds for the attack in the third overtime. SKADE managed to take only one and were close to the second. Elisa Invitational Spring 2022 runs from March 21 to June 25 online. As part of the championship, 28 teams from Europe and the CIS are fighting for a prize pool of $50,000, as well as a ticket to Elisa Masters Espoo 2022.
