FaZe Clan leaving IEM Dallas 2022

Cloud9 managed to defeat the best team in the world, Ax1Le led the team to victory and finished the game with great statistics.

Cloud9 vs FaZe Clan

  1. Cloud9 removed Nuke
  2. FaZe removed Vertigo
  3. Cloud9 picked Overpass
  4. FaZe picked Inferno
  5. Cloud9 removed Dust2
  6. FaZe removed Ancient
  7. Mirage was left over

Not on the first Overpass map, the Cloud9 team immediately starts to dominate. Everything went very well, starting with the pistol round and the first device rounds later. However, with the score 2:6, FaZe Clan show that they are not whipping boys at all and start taking round after round. Subsequently, there will be nothing left of Cloud9's advantage, and the first half will go to FaZe with a minimum advantage of 7:8. The second pistol round for C9 was less successful, FaZe Clan took the most important round and the next economic round was also chalked up. In the 18th round, Cloud9 are purchased and without much effort the captain of the nafany team takes opponents to the A base. After this round, Cloud9 failed to immediately consolidate their advantage and began to give FaZe Clan a streak from the rounds until the score reached a critical level of 8:14 against them. Starting with this score, C9 have shown that they can also fight back defensively. For a full-fledged comeback, quite a bit was not enough, however, as often happens, at the very last moment FaZe was reminded that they were the top 1 team in the world. With the score at 14:15, when overtimes were practically in C9's pocket (and for this they had both the opponent's bad economy and the found open frag, while the players occupied good positions), under a blinding grenade, FaZe Clan players broke into the monster and killed the spirit players without exchange. Knocking out point B from Cloud9 did not work out and they lost their pick. 14:16 in favor of FaZe Clan.

The Inferno map for C9 started with a series of 4 won rounds, however, this advantage was not destined to grow much. FaZe Clan equalize the score and according to the rules of the genre they should come out ahead, because their opponents have a force round with tec-9, but what difference does it make what you have in your hands if the shooting stops, the C9 players also thought when they went to the banana and left no chance for the special forces at base B. Later, the Cloud9 team showed a good pace of attack and won the half with a score of 8:7. The map kept in suspense until the very end, the teams demonstrated a high-class counter-strike, but the Cloud9 team came out the winner with a score of 16:13. C9 player Sergey "Ax1Le" Rykhtorov stood out against the background of all the others, he showed a brilliant game and finished the map with 34 frags.

Mirage was the decisive map between FaZe and C9. In the first pistol round, Twistzz took 2 seconds, 3 rounds to neutralize 3 terrorists in different positions. The first half was remembered by a beautiful clutch performed by Ax1Le, remaining in the connector, playing for the bomb, he managed to deal with 3 players entering his position, with this clutch he provided the team with a comfortable score for half, leaving FaZe Clan without money for the next round. The first half is for FaZe Clan with a minimum margin of 7:8. Again, the pistol round goes to the FaZe team, and with it the streak in the 4th round. In order to catch up, the C9 team had to try very hard, because the score was already 7:12. Having taken the 20th round, they immediately lose the 21st. What happened to FaZe on the map next is not clear. Perhaps it was Cloud9 who were just so overwhelmed that they took the champions of the recent major from the server. In round number 26, the same Ax1Le made an ace, finally burying FaZe Clan's chances for a comeback. 16:13 in favor of the North American organization.

Ax1Le finished the series with 85-57 KD, 101.3 ADR, 1.42 rating 2.0.

Cloud9 advance to the semi-finals, and their opponent will be BIG.

FaZe Clan, unexpectedly for many, leave the Intel Extreme Masters 2022, while taking 5-6th place and earning $10,000 + 350 EPT points + 225 BLAST Premier points.
