The teams MIBR and Ninjas in Pajamas were eliminated from IEM Dallas 2022. According to the results of the lower bracket matches of the group stage, the teams lost to Team Liquid (0:2) and Cloud9 (0:2), respectively, thus leaving the American championship. In turn, Team Liquid and Cloud9 will meet again as part of the tournament to compete for a ticket to the IEM Dallas 2022 playoffs.

Ninjas in Pajamas - Cloud9

The first meeting of the game day started on the Vertigo map, which became the choice of the Russian team. At the same time, for the two halves of the team, they failed to identify the winner, thereby moving to overtime. However, here Cloud9 managed to pull himself together to seize the initiative and take the lead in the series — 19:16.

Next, the teams moved to the Overpass map, where Cloud9 immediately began to make a difference, showing convincing defense. As a result, the Russian team confidently closed the first half, taking advantage of the mistakes of the Swedes. Well, after the change of sides, Cloud9 didn’t put it off, getting a simple victory at the opponent’s pick and making it to the finals of the lower bracket of IEM Dallas 2022 — 16:5.

Team Liquid-MIBR

The parallel meeting started on the map Ancient, which became the choice of the North American team. However, the first half, as well as the start to the second, were left to the MIBR players, who at some point claimed a quick victory. However, on defense, Team Liquid managed to seize the initiative to make a comeback and take the lead in the series — 16:12.

Then the teams moved to the Inferno map, the start of which was reserved for the Brazilian team. However, before the change of sides, the "liquid" managed to return to the game, reducing the gap to one round. After the side switch, Team Liquid did not leave MIBR even a chance, thereby knocking out the Brazilian team from the championship — 16:9.
