HObbit spoke about the immediate goals of Cloud9
/HObbit, playing for Cloud9, spoke about the immediate goals of his team and shared his thoughts on the failure at the last PGL Major Antwerp 2022. In an interview at the IEM Dallas 2022 broadcast, he also commented on the victory over Team Liquid, thanks to which Cloud9 made it to the semifinals of the upper bracket of the group stage.
In every tournament we try to improve our game. Yes, we crashed out of the major, but it was just one of hundreds of other championships. For my teammates, it's true, because they are young guys. I told them not to be upset, because there will be many more tournaments in the future. Cloud9's goal is to be the best team in the world. It doesn't matter which event we lose, as everyone is focused on improving and succeeding in the future.
Of course, we feel pressure from moving to Cloud9. This is our new home, a new page in life. I think everything takes time. The last time I was in the US was in 2018, I think. We played the last tournament in the old version of the Gambit roster. Now I'm back here with a new team in which every player is happy to be. We will try to show ourselves from the best side.
I think Vertigo is really our main map, maybe even the best. We are probably one of the strongest teams on this map - we feel confident on it. To be honest, we didn't even expect to play Vertigo. Perhaps the rivals decided to take a chance and surprise us. Liquid showed a good start, it was hard to play. The opponents started with a score of 4:0, their ideas worked. But a tactical pause, the help of our coach and nafany in good shape is not so easy to win.
Note that before the start of PGL Major Antwerp 2022, HObbit was accused of participating in fixed matches. Based on the results of the analysis of the evidence presented, American journalists passed the information to ESIC, which launched its own investigation.
Cloud9 successfully started at IEM Dallas 2022, beating Team Liquid with a score of 16:6. Now the Russian team will meet with the Brazilians from FURIA, playing for a ticket to the championship playoffs.
