Fixed matches found within HCG Masters Season 1

HCG Masters Season 1, which started in February, never made it to the grand finals. Moreover, the championship was postponed in mid-April, leaving behind a lot of questions. In particular, the organizers left the staff without pay, but now it seems that Hardcore Gaming's problems are even deeper.

After some research, some representatives of the scene began to suggest that suspicious activity was noticed within several matches of the HCG Masters Season 1, indirectly referring to the presence of a contractual nature of the meetings.

Before the playoffs, the organizers almost ran out of money. Despite having a sponsor, Hardcore Gaming failed to provide the necessary amount of money to finish the event. This led to delays and some serious problems for those who worked at the championship.

A lot of the people who worked at the tournament weren't getting paid, and that problem seems to have dragged on quite a bit since the postponement. While some employees are now on payroll, it has been months since the event before any action was taken. In fact, this event turned into something of a disaster..

However, in the time that has passed since the start of HCG Masters Season 1, a few more questions have been raised. In particular, within the framework of the championship, matches were identified that were of a contractual nature.

Matches at HCG Masters Season 1 began in February, which became the reason for the investigation. The meeting between HeroC1ty and CC OGLUM, which ended with a score of 1:2 in favor of the German team, was marked by several suspicious bets in favor of the losing team.

In addition, in the meeting between Dabbing Koalas and MASONIC, the former performed with a stand-in, without indicating changes in the composition before the direct start of the fight. This means that the odds did not reflect the change and players had the opportunity to capitalize on it under the right circumstances. In addition, the bookmakers accepted an excessive number of bets for this match.

After the second case, GRID Esports requested recordings of the teams' conversations before refusing to cooperate with HCG Masters Season 1. And although the excessive number of bets on a single match is not objective evidence of match fixing, the shadow that fell on the organizers will remain with them forever. At the same time, the organizers themselves did not make any statements regarding these incidents, in addition, continuing the championship.

According to the contract between GRID and HCG, HCG was required to receive formal notice from the service provider if such a contractual event did occur. However, to date, the organizers have not made any attempts to whitewash their name.

In addition, the CEO of MASONIC, the company behind HCG, stated that they had no involvement in match-fixing. Now the Danish organization is conducting its own investigation into everything that happened. Enough time has already passed between the actual event and potential match-fixing, and there is little to say in favor of the tournament organizers.
