Tournament operator PGL has updated the rules for holding RMR tournaments. In particular, the changes will affect PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR, where the organizers have eliminated a significant shortcoming in the format by adding two additional matches to determine all the major participants from the region.

In general, the changes will affect those RMR tournaments that will be held according to the Swiss system (America and Europe). At the same time, PGL additionally clarified that in the context of the new rules, only the American championship will be affected by the changes.

In particular, in order to eliminate the shortcomings of the Buchholz system, additional matches were added for teams with a 3-2 statistic that scored the fewest points on the Buchholz coefficient. The winner of the meeting will fight with the best team from the first seeding. Additional matches will be held on April 15.
