K23 became the champion of ESEA Season 40: Advanced Division - Europe

ESEA Season 40: Advanced Division - Europe has ended. The tournament, which ran online from January 31st to April 3rd, saw a total of 83 teams from Europe compete for a $20,000 prize pool as well as promotion to the Challenger division. The K23 team became the champion of the event, having outplayed Sangal with a score of 3:0 in the grand final.

The tournament for the future winner started with a strong performance in the regular season, during which K23 won 12 matches, and also lost to PALOMA (9:16) and Nexus (11:16).

Nevertheless, the Russian team made it to the playoffs, where they dealt with FAMBIT (2:1), AVE (2:1), MAD Lions (2:1) and Sangal (2:1), thus securing a comfortable handicap in the grand final. In the decisive match, K23 again coped with the Sangal team, confidently playing on the Inferno and Overpass maps. With this win, the team earned $7,000 and a promotion to the ESL Challenger League S41 for the next season.

  • 4th place: MAD Lions — $2,000 + seat in ECL S40 Relegation.
  • 5th-6th place: MASONIC and FAMBIT — $1,250 + seat in ESEA S41 Advanced.
  • 7th-8th place: AVE and forZe - $750 + place in ESEA S41 Advanced.
  • 9th-12th place: Team Singularity, ALTERNATE aTTaX, Dynamo Eclot and ONYX - place in ESEA S41 Advanced.
  • 13th-16th place: INDE IRAE, eClub Brugge, VELOX and Anonymo Esports - place in ESEA S41 Advanced.
  • 17th-24th place: No Limit Gaming, los kogutos, iNation, 4glory Esports, Entropiq Prague, Lilmix, Nexus Gaming and Conquer Gaming - a place in ESEA S41 Advanced.
