Tournament operator WePlay Esports has announced that the upcoming WePlay Academy League Season 3 Finals will be held online. The reason for the changes in the format of the tournament was the difficult epidemiological and geopolitical situation in Ukraine.

Due to the difficult geopolitical and epidemiological situation in Ukraine, we have decided to hold the WePlay Academy League final online.

This season, the playoffs will be held online: the teams will play remotely, as was the case during the group stage. This step is agreed with all participating organizations.

When making a decision, we took into account the situation on the Ukrainian borders. The difficult epidemiological situation with COVID-19 and regular changes in the rules of international transportation also make the organization difficult. The safety of tournament participants, our employees and all stakeholders has been, is and will be our priority.

Recall that WePlay Academy League Season 3 Finals will be held from February 11 to 13. BIG Academy, MOUZ NXT, Astralis Talent and Spirit Academy will take part in the tournament and compete for a prize pool of $88,000. MOUZ NXT became the champion of the previous two seasons of WePlay Academy League.
