BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2022: G2 Esports reached the grand final of group A

The G2 Esports team beat NIP (16:6) and reached the grand final of group A at BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2022. Now the team will wait for their opponent, who will be determined at the end of the NIP meeting - BIG. In turn, the German team BIG turned out to be stronger than Complexity (16:10) and remained at the group stage of the championship.

G2 Esports-NIP

The upper bracket final between G2 Esports and NIP took place on the Inferno map. At the same time, NiKo and the company quickly seized the initiative on the server, finishing the half in defense with a twofold advantage. After switching sides, G2 Esports continued to put pressure on the opponent, while NIP managed to win just one round. As a result, the second victory in a row for G2 Esports and a place in the grand final of their quartet - 16:6.

Note that m0NESY once again had a successful match, finishing Inferno with a rating of 1.44 and shooting 18 frags.

Complexity-BIG

The duel of the lower part of the bracket took place on the Nuke map. BIG, having started on defense, again quickly seized the advantage, winning six unanswered rounds. Closer to the change of sides, the North American team managed to close the gap, which still did not save Complexity from a twofold advantage in favor of BIG. In the second half, Complexity began to recoup. However, a chic clutch from tiziaN put an end to all the attempts of the opponent, ensuring BIG the most important victory at BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2022 — 16:10.

After this defeat, Complexity completes its journey in the group stage, going to the quarterfinals of the Play-In stage. Here the North American team will meet with the team that took third place in group B.

BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2022 runs from January 28 to February 6 online. 12 league partner teams are competing for a prize pool of $177,500, as well as six tickets to BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022.
