Astralis and Gambit will perform at Funspark ULTI 2021
The organizers of Funspark ULTI 2021 have unveiled a list of invited teams that will kick off the new season with a $ 250,000 championship. The invited teams include famous names such as Astralis, Gambit, Entropiq and fnatic. These teams will face-to-face with the other four teams that got a ticket to the tournament following their successful performance last season.
Note that there was one change in the composition of the participants: the Checkmate team will not be able to fly to Europe to participate in the championship - it will be replaced by the Danish team ECSTATIC.
The championship will start from the quarter-final stage, where the invited teams will face the best teams of the last season. While the winners of the kickoff matches progress to the semi-finals, the losing teams will fall into the lower bracket, where they will have another chance to advance to the grand final. All matches of the championship will be held in the BO3 format. The exception will be the BO5 Grand Final, while the team that progresses to the main match of the tournament through the Upper Bracket will have a one-map handicap.

Team K23 Funspark ULTI 2021 will take place online from January 18th to 24th. Eight teams will compete for a prize pool of $ 250,000, as well as two tickets to Funspark ULTI 2022. The winner of the championship will receive a prize of $ 150,000.
