Gambit, Virtus.pro and Entropiq will perform at ESL Pro League Season 15
Tournament operator ESL presented the list of participants for the upcoming ESL Pro League Season 15. In addition to the league partner teams and the winners of the qualifying championships, the organizers issued invitations to four teams, namely Gambit, Virtus.pro, Heroic and Entropiq. The choice of invites is based on the high place of teams in the ESL World Ranking.
Among partner teams, Astralis, BIG, FURIA, Complexity, ENCE, Evil Geniuses, FaZe Clan, Fnatic, G2 Esports, MOUZ, Natus Vincere, Ninjas in Pajamas, Team Liquid and Team Vitality will take part in the tournament. Note that Heroic is also a partner of the ESL Pro League, however, the agreement of the Danish organization with the tournament operator will take effect in the second half of next year.
Extra Salt, Movistar Riders and GODSENT will also take part in the tournament. These teams qualified for the championship following the results of ESL Pro League Conference Season 15. The last three slots went to Party Astronauts, AGO and LookingForOrg, who became the winners of ESEA Season 38: Premier in North America, Europe and Australia, respectively.
As a reminder, ESL Pro League Season 15 will run from March 9 to April 10. The format of the tournament is still unknown, but the organizers, if the situation with coronavirus permits, intend to hold the championship in Malta. The prize pool for ESL Pro League Season 15 will be $ 823,000, while the winner will receive $ 175,000. In addition, each team will receive $ 5,000 for each victory in the group stage.
