Zaagen Abilities Leaked — Everything We Know So Far

Rumors about the new champion Zaahen had been circulating for a long time, and now more and more information is starting to leak online. One of the sources is BigBadBear, who once again shared a batch of fresh leaks. So let’s take a look at what we currently know about the new League champion Zaahen.

Zaagen Leaked Skills

There isn’t much information about his abilities yet, but based on what we’ve seen so far, the champion looks like he might end up in the top lane — or we might get another strong jungler with some AoE-focused skills.

• Passive Ability - currently unknown.
• Q - an empowered auto attack that can be used repeatedly.
• W - a skillshot that pulls and catches the enemy.
• E - a short dash that deals AoE damage around him and applies a slow to enemies.
• R - also unknown at the moment.

Overall, if you look closely, Zaahen’s ability kit is basically Xin Zhao’s abilities, just with a Darkin twist. And I really hope that the new champion won’t push Xin Zhao out of the meta, but instead will be an alternative pick that can be used in different strategies. Of course, that’s assuming Zaahen will be played as a jungler.

A Bit of Zaagen`s Lore

Zaahen is expected to appear in the third season of 2025, titled “Trials of Twilight.” His arrival fits naturally into the storyline and is tied to his petricite body.

In the cinematic “Beginning of the End,” there are scenes where Atakhan holds the glaive, and Garen and Jarvan IV appear in a corrupted, twisted form. This may either foreshadow upcoming events or represent Xin Zhao’s nightmare visions, as he is also set to receive new skins this season.

There is also a story connection: Zaahen and Yunara were allies approximately 1,500 years ago, but both ended up in exile after a massive war. Since Yunara returned in Season 2, it makes sense to expect Zaahen to appear in Season 3.

Zaahen New League Champion - Release Date

There is still no confirmed release date, but most sources indicate that Zaahen is expected to arrive in the second half of Season 3, which began in late August 2025.

Riot Games typically releases new league champions every few months. Since Yunara came out in July, there is a high chance that Zaahen will be released by the end of 2025.
