How to farm in Dota 2. Game Tips
Yuriy SheremetGold mining is the main task in the game, because in the absence of items, most heroes cannot reach their potential. Today we'll talk about where to get gold from the map and how to speed up your farm. The main farm indicator is GPM (gold per minute).
Farm on line
The laning stage is always very important, it determines what kind of game you will have. If you are just learning how to play, then first try to match the creeps in the lobby. It is also worth considering that the heroes have different attack animations and damage, so some last hit is easier, but some will have to be practiced.
The size of the reward for killing creeps on the lane increases during the game (+1 coin every 7 minutes 30 seconds for regular creeps and +1.5 coins for the same time for megacreeps). The size of the reward depends on the type of creeps:
- 1. Creep Swordsman (melee). Initially gives 35 to 41 gold.
- 2. Creep Mage (Range). It drops from 48 to 58 coins.
- 3. Catapult. Gives 66 to 80 coins.
Don't push the line
It is very important to finish off the maximum creeps from the first packs - this will help you to consolidate the advantage, gain more experience and gold, and subsequently win the laning stage. To do this, learn to keep the line level. Do not make unnecessary hits on the creeps, deny your creeps, if necessary, take them to the forest camps. Do not let the creeps go under the tower, it is better to poke the damage a little or just run away from them, otherwise the line will move towards the opponent.
Don't forget the Quelling Blade
It gives a good increase in damage, making it much easier to finish off creeps on the lane with it, as well as to farm the forest faster. And also with its help, you can cut trees, which will allow you to directly move between neutral camps, and not bypass them. Another nice bonus is that you can cut trees in the lane to get additional vision and avoid attacks.
Try to push down the tier-1 tower
After demolishing the first tower, you have the opportunity to go into the forest. Before that, place a ward at the entrance to the forest and start farming neutral creeps. In this case, the enemy will not be able to approach either from the line where the creeps are far away, or from the river.
If you feel good on the lane, but your opponent does not leave, then try to quickly pick up creeps (do not hesitate to use spells), push the lane on the enemy and farm the two nearest neutral camps: in this case, you are guaranteed to receive more gold than your opponent.
Lost the line? If your hero allows you to farm the forest and ancient creeps (enhancements) from an early time, then teleport from the safe lane to your small forest (triangle) and start farming there, under the protection of your mid lane and off lane.
Demolition rewards
Level 1 towers. They give 90 gold to each team member and 75-165 gold to the player who finished off the building. Also, 45 gold is given to all members of the team, which will defile its own tower.
Level 2 towers. For the demolition of the second tower, 110 gold is given for each team member and from 95 to 185 coins for the player who finished off the tower. And for her denai, 55 coins are awarded to all team members.
Level 3 towers. For the destruction of such buildings, all players are given 125 coins, and those who finish off the tower are awarded 115-205 additional gold. And the team that assigns its own tower is credited with 62.5 coins for each player.
Level 4 towers. They give 145 coins to all team members and 135-225 coins to the player who finished it off. For the tower day, 72.5 coins are given for each player.
Swordsmen Barracks - 155 coins for all team members and 90-135 coins for the player who finished it off. Mages Barracks - 90 coins for all players from the finishing team and 90-135 coins for the finishing player.
Farm Tips
Stack creeps when farming jungle (move creeps a few seconds before the next respawn). Moreover, for some heroes, you can make 2 or more stacks at once, which significantly speeds up the farming process.
Buy items to speed up your farm.
Battle Fury - gives a splash to melee attacks, in the current meta it can be too slow, but on some heroes it still looks good. Radiance - makes it possible to quickly farm the forest, besides, it gives a good bonus in fights at the initial levels. The only downside is that it comes from Sacred, and we have to carry around too much ineffective gold. Maelstorm - during an attack with this item, lightning will fly out with a certain chance, causing damage to nearby targets. In the modern meta, it is the main item on some heroes, for example, Clinkz, Sniper, etc.
Don't keep a lot of gold.
If you want to collect any expensive artifact, then buy it in parts (for example, if you are assembling Manta Style, we recommend buying Yasha right away, since it will go far faster with it). Also, do not forget to list all the items you want for a quick purchase. Thus, before dying, you will be able to quickly purchase the necessary goods and not lose your gold.
Use Scroll of Teleportation
This opportunity is often neglected by players at lower ranks. You should always look at the map and look for a profitable farming area. Before teleporting somewhere, think about whether you can continue to farm safely, whether the enemy has vision and where the enemies were last shown on the map.
Look at the minimap
Always look at the minimap and don't risk going online if you can't see anyone. As a carry, you are the main target for the enemy team
