Guide to Sand King at 7.31
Yuriy SheremetSand King is one of the most reliable offlaners in the game, because he greatly strains the enemy carry and, in conjunction with a strong support, is ready to kill enemy heroes from the first minutes of the game. With his set of abilities and high amount of AOE damage, he can easily turn the tide of almost any battle. At the same time, the hero has very good qualities of an initiator and even has the ability to control. Seemingly simple Sand King skills actually require their correct and timely application.

Description of abilities
Burrowstrike
- Sand King instantly moves to the target point when the spikes reach it.
- It takes 0.53 seconds to burrow and spawn. from the moment the ability is cast, during which Sand King is disabled and cannot do anything.
- When targeting a unit, Sand King chases it until it reaches a distance equal to its cast range and casts Burrowstrike on it directly.
- Creatures hit are knocked up 350 points for a base 0.52 second stun
- Hits creatures up to 550/650/750/850 (950/1150/1350/1450) range away (maximum distance plus radius).
- With Aghanim's Scepter, Burrowstrike applies the current level's Caustic Finale debuff to all hit heroes (but not illusions). Counts creep-heroes The following creatures are creep-heroes: for creeps. Earth Warrior, Storm Warrior, Fire Warrior, Void Warrior, Astral Spirit, Bear Spirit, Gargoyle and Warlock Golem.
Sand Storm
- The delay is used if the hero came out of invisibility when attacking or using spells and items. However, since casting Sand Storm instantly applies invisibility, the delay is also not used when recasting the ability in the active area.
- Sand Storm deals 10/22.5/35/47.5 (85/97.5/110/122.5) damage in 0.5 second intervals immediately upon cast, dealing damage 40/50/60/70 times.
- Level 25 Talent applies Blind to enemies within Sand Storm (Blind is a condition effect whereby the blinded person misses their attacks. Thus, the target avoids the missed attack, similar to a dodge) and a 40% movement speed slow.
- The effects are provided by the aura; their debuff lingers for 0.5 seconds.
- Blinding uses a pseudo-random distribution.
Caustic Finale
- Area damage will only be dealt if the debuffed creature dies from an enemy.
- That is, the creature will not explode if it is finished off, it will disappear (for example, a summoned creature or an illusion), or its kill is not attributed to anyone (for example, Meepo clones).
- If the debuffed illusion dies, only the base damage will be dealt in the area, not the percentage damage.
- Successful attacks on the same target do not stack, but refresh the duration. The debuff does not refresh; all its values are set on the first application.
- The debuff does not apply to allies, buildings, or wards.
epicenter
- When successfully used, pushing cannot be interrupted by anything - not even the death of Sand King.
- The shocks come from Sand King and follow him. They occur at intervals of 0.5/0.375/0.3 seconds. after 0.5/0.375/0.3 sec. after application.
- The spell takes 3 seconds to release all shocks and reach a maximum radius of 725/825 after a delay.
- Deals up to 660/960/1300 damage without talents selected
- The slow is applied to enemies with each push and lasts up to 6 seconds
- Multiple applications of Epicenter add up, creating unrelated jolts.
- With Aghanim's Shard, for every 700 units overcome by Sand King, Epicenter passively releases a push. The damage and slow values are equal to the current level's Epicenter values. Distance from teleportation effects only counts up to 700 units regardless of the actual teleportation range. That is, teleporting over a long distance will only release one push and will not release additional ones according to the distance traveled.
- The distance counter has no time limit. It is reset only after a push.
- If Epicenter is not learned, then shocks are inactive.
- In this case, the counter still takes into account the distance; after studying the Epicenter, the push will be instantly released.

Assembly examples:
Soul Ring is the first thing to buy in lane to avoid mana issues. Many players don't touch boots after purchase and run with a normal boot for the rest of the game, because of this, Sand King keeps up the pace in buying items.
Blink Dagger - is bought first of all to reveal the full potential of the hero. Already with the first level of the ultimate, you can find single kills.
Veil of Discord - With the help of this artifact, Sand King can significantly increase the damage of his abilities.
Aghanim's Scepter - thanks to Aghanim, Sand King can Significantly increase Burrowstrike's digging range. Thus, you can not rely only on the Blink Dagger artifact in order to make a long-range jump and attack a group of enemies from an ambush. This feature is very important for Sandy King, so Aghanim is bought very often.
Scythe of Vyse - if you lack control, then buying this artifact will be a good solution.
Eul's Scepter of Divinity - Eul allows you to increase mana regeneration and increases the maximum mana and increases the movement speed of the hero. Thanks to the cyclone, Sand King becomes very tenacious and, in combination with Dagger, can easily run away from danger.
Gameplay
At the very beginning of the game, Sand King clearly does not have enough damage to kill the enemy, but he has an excellent ability to control Burrowstrike. The main problem at the beginning of the game will be that the ability will have a reduced cast range due to the low level and you will need to get close to the enemies. We stand on the line and finish off creeps with the help of 3 skills, thereby constantly straining the health of enemy heroes.
You should stay in the lane until Blink Dagger spawns, while simultaneously trying to farm the jungle and pushing the lane. After buying a Blink Dagger, you need to look for a target to implement it, because at the beginning we have a lot of damage, we should attack the carry or mid laner. In general, Sand King can kill creeps very quickly with his abilities, but when it comes to demolishing the tower, the best options for the hero are to choose a good position and wait for the enemy to appear. Sand King's attack is small and there will be little sense from his auto-attacks, but he can die very quickly if he is in the epicenter of the beginning of the battle. It is important to remain invisible to enemies by using the forest, fog of war or uneven terrain and just bide your time.
