Path of Exile 2: The Third Edict Twitch Drops

The launch of Path of Exile 2 is not only drawing the attention of action RPG fans around the globe but also bringing exciting community events. Grinding Gear Games has announced the Third Edict Twitch Drops, a limited-time campaign that allows players to earn exclusive cosmetic rewards while enjoying streams on Twitch. Just like in previous events, these rewards do not impact gameplay balance, but they offer a creative way to customize your character and celebrate the upcoming release of the game.

Exclusive Cosmetics Await Players

The Third Edict campaign introduces several unique cosmetic items, each designed to enhance the visual experience of Path of Exile 2 without altering combat effectiveness or progression.

  • Clam Stash Skin: A mystical stash skin that resembles a giant mollusk. When opened, the stash emits a magical aura, water rises into the air around you, and a siren’s song plays as you store your loot. It provides an immersive atmosphere and adds personality to one of the most frequently used in-game features.
  • Helmet of the Abyssal: This decorative helmet symbolizes the player’s conquests within the Abyss. Worn alone, it already stands out, but it is even more striking when paired with the matching Abyssal Cape, signaling mastery over darkness and the terrifying Abyssal Liches.
  • Cape of the Abyssal: Available in the second week of the event, this flowing cape completes the Abyssal set. It is particularly thematic when journeying through the Karui archipelago in Act 4, adding dramatic flair to your character’s adventure.
  • Storm of Valako Portal: An impressive portal effect inspired by the Karui god Valako, embodying thunder and storm. Unlike the standard Twitch Drops, this portal can only be obtained by supporting streamers through Twitch subscriptions, making it both a community and loyalty reward.

These items are purely cosmetic, ensuring fairness in competitive play while still offering players a way to stand out visually in Wraeclast.

How to Unlock the Rewards

To obtain these rewards, players need to participate in the Twitch Drops campaign by watching Path of Exile 2 content or subscribing to streamers. The event is split into two stages:

Week 1 (August 29 – September 6)

By watching 3 cumulative hours of any stream in the Path of Exile 2 Twitch category, players will unlock the Clam Stash Skin and the Helmet of the Abyssal.

Week 2 (September 6 – September 13)

During the second week, watching 3 cumulative hours once again will grant the Cape of the Abyssal. This reward aligns perfectly with the helmet, allowing players to complete their Abyssal set.

Storm of Valako Portal – Support a Streamer

From August 29 to September 13, players can obtain the Storm of Valako Portal by purchasing or gifting two Twitch subscriptions of any tier (Prime subs excluded) to their favorite Path of Exile 2 streamer. Additionally, a single subscription will award the Chaos Orb Twitch Badge, adding another layer of recognition for supporters.

To ensure you receive these rewards, you must link your Twitch account to your Path of Exile account through the official website.

Discord Reward: Eye of Prophecy Avatar

Alongside Twitch Drops, Grinding Gear Games has partnered with Discord to offer a special Eye of Prophecy Avatar. To claim this reward, players simply need to play Path of Exile 2 for at least 15 minutes with Discord open between August 29 and September 5.

This avatar requires no additional account linking and will be available on Discord profiles for two months (longer if you are a Discord Nitro user). This collaboration provides another fun way for players to show their engagement with the launch of Path of Exile 2.

Why Twitch Drops Matter for Path of Exile 2

Twitch Drops have become a core feature of modern gaming launches, creating a direct connection between developers, streamers, and players. For Grinding Gear Games, the Third Edict serves multiple purposes, from boosting community engagement by encouraging fans to watch and support their favorite creators, to rewarding loyalty with unique cosmetics that make participation feel valuable. At the same time, these items remain purely cosmetic, ensuring immersion without affecting balance or progression. Most importantly, events like this help build excitement ahead of the game’s full release, keeping the community active, engaged, and eager for what comes next in Path of Exile 2.
