Movistar KOIThe LEC Versus 2026 Regular Season will take place from January 17th to February 8th, 2026. In this updated format, which replaces the Winter Split, 12 teams are participating: 10 long-term league partners and 2 invited teams from the ERL leagues (Los Ratones and Karmine Corp Blue).
The stage is conducted using a Single Round Robin system (everyone plays everyone once) in a single general group. During this phase, each team will play 11 matches. All encounters take place in a Best-of-One (Bo1) format, making every match crucial as mistakes are not forgiven.
To make the tournament format more understandable and transparent, we have prepared a special blog - the LEC Versus 2026 Season Viewer Guide. In it, I have detailed each stage of the competition, explained the match formats, introduced the participating teams, and covered other important details of this unique winter event.
LEC Versus 2026: Matches You Shouldn't Miss
Since there will be a large number of matches every game week, I won't recommend a specific match to you, but will simply give recommendations on which teams are the most interesting to watch. This is, of course, a subjective opinion based on personal preferences and observations after the first week of play.
The first team worth watching is the newcomers to the division - Natus Vincere. The team joined the league last year at the very end of the season, without having enough time to properly build synergy or assemble a roster that was satisfactory for them. But already this season, the team has begun to shine with a freshly assembled roster that looks very promising. Although the team is not aiming for victory in this tournament and believes they need it to experiment and develop synergy as a team, this did not prevent them from showing good matches and ending the first week with a positive result.
G2 Esports is one of the most popular and strongest teams in the region. Despite the fact that their first week didn't go very well, they managed to pull themselves together at the end of the week. They are always interesting to watch, and fans shouldn't worry about their losses, as G2 often plays through the Regular Season somewhere in the middle of the table or slightly higher.
It is also interesting to watch the invited teams and their further development. We are talking about Los Ratones, one of the most media-prominent teams in the tournament despite coming from a lower-level league, and Karmine Corp Blue - the academy of Karmine Corp.
And we must not forget about the main contenders for the championship title, and here we have three more teams: Karmine Corp, MKOI, and Fnatic. For several years, these teams have shown a high level of play in the region and have also appeared at international tournaments multiple times. At the moment, it is particularly interesting to watch MKOI. Compared to last year, the team has noticeably changed its playstyle. If we compare it to the 2025 season, where MKOI rushed like a snowball and very often overextended, losing their entire advantage, there were problems with playing from behind and making comebacks. But at the moment, it looks like the team has fixed this issue, which makes them an even more dangerous opponent for any team.
LEC Versus 2026 Week 1 Results

The first week of the competition was packed with action, and the majority of the matches were both close and highly engaging. A total of 7 out of the 12 teams managed to finish the week with a positive record, yet not a single one was able to reach a perfect 3-0 start. Seven teams - specifically Fnatic, GIANTX, Movistar KOI, Natus Vincere, Shifters, Karmine Corp, and Team Vitality - ended the week with a 2-1 standing.
Four teams finished with a 1-2 record: G2 Esports, Team Heretics, Karmine Corp Blue, and SK Gaming. Despite these scores, the teams demonstrated excellent gameplay; some are still warming up and gaining momentum, while others faced a bit of bad luck, but for the most part, the level of play was commendable.
Unfortunately for Los Ratones and their supporters, they are the only team to finish the week without a single victory, sitting at 0-3 for the time being. Throughout the previous season, this team dominated the second division like a snowball, winning nearly every tournament in the league. However, so far, they have looked quite vulnerable and have struggled to impose their playstyle in any of their matches. We remain hopeful that the team can bounce back, put up a decent fight, and perhaps even secure a spot in the playoffs.
LEC Versus 2026 Details

LEC Versus 2026 will take place from January 17th to March 1st, 2026, and will consist of two primary stages: the Regular Season and the Playoffs. The match schedule is updated on a weekly basis, so be sure to follow the official announcements to ensure you do not miss a single game, including the performances of the guest teams invited from the ERL leagues.
While this specific tournament does not feature a traditional cash prize pool, winning remains the ultimate goal for every team. The champion of LEC Versus 2026 will become the sole representative of the EMEA region at the season's first international event - First Stand 2026, held in São Paulo, Brazil. This is a unique opportunity for teams to establish themselves on the global stage and etch their names into the history of the newly updated League of Legends competitive cycle.
Following massive roster overhauls and the arrival of ambitious new challengers, the pressure on the league's favorites has intensified, especially considering the volatile nature of the Bo1 series format. We expect matches with unpredictable outcomes, brilliant individual performances, and fierce rivalries as teams battle for the right to represent Europe at the international level. This concludes our blog guide - we wish you an enjoyable viewing experience and may the team you support emerge victorious at LEC Versus 2026!
