Hytale's all weapon systems are built around melee, ranged, and magic combat paths. I counted eight weapon types in active use: sword, mace, battleaxe, dagger, shortbow, staff, shield, and crossbow. Each follows a tiered material progression rather than a skill-based unlock. Crafting stations and upgrades define how far your arsenal can advance.

Hytale Weapon Tiers

Weapon tiers in Hytale control damage output, durability, and crafting cost. The progression runs from Crude, Copper, Iron, Thorium, Cobalt, Adamantite, and ends with Mithril as the strongest standard tier. Most melee and ranged weapons share this ladder, while staffs and shields depend on separate workbenches. Crafting progression starts at pocket crafting and expands through workbench upgrades, which unlock essential craft recipes needed to access higher tiers.

Sword

To craft a sword in Hytale, you use the Blacksmith’s Anvil and tier-specific materials. Swords balance speed and damage across all tiers.

How to Repair a Weapon in Hytale?

Weapons lose durability with every use and eventually break. Repairing requires a Repair Kit crafted from 2 Linen Scraps, 1 Iron Ingot, and 1 Light Leather. Using a kit restores durability but permanently reduces the weapon’s maximum durability by ten percent.

Repair kits are useful during long expeditions where replacement crafting is not possible. Over time, crafting a new weapon becomes more efficient than repeated repairs.
