Guide to Hoodwink 7.31
Yuriy SheremetAcorn Shot
Fires an acorn at a targeted enemy, dealing attack damage. The acorn bounces at nearby creatures, slowing them down and dealing additional damage. Can be cast on a point to create a tree, after which the acorn will bounce into nearby enemies.
- Acorn Shot's cast range is based on the owner's attack range
- When applied to a point, a tree appears. A planted tree has less visibility blocking and a smaller collision size than normal trees.
- When cast on a creature, the initial hit does not count against the bounce limit, so the projectile can bounce 3/4/5/6
- The initial projectile speed is 2100.
- The projectile bounces at 0.1 second intervals.
- Can jump to the same target, but only after hitting another target during the bounce.
- Cannot bounce into invisible, invulnerable, or hidden units, but can bounce into units in the Fog of War.
- Causes Hoodwink to perform instant attacks on enemies when the projectile bounces.
- The projectile first performs an instant attack and then applies the debuff.
- The projectile grants 200 flying vision around the target and then applies the debuff.
- Choosing the talent that grants 2 charges of Acorn Shot instantly grants 1 additional charge.
bushwhack
The hero throws a trap net that stuns enemy heroes if they are in the area of effect next to a tree. The trap deals damage and pulls victims towards the nearest tree, blocking their vision for the duration of the stun.
- The projectile travels at a speed of 1200.
- Bushwhack can hit creatures up to 1265 range (max cast range + radius).
- If there are no trees in the selected area, then nothing will happen.
- Deals damage in 0.3 intervals
- Affected creatures are stunned and moved to the tree closest to the center of the ability's cast radius.
- If a creature is bound to a normal tree on the map, breaking that tree frees it from Bushwhack.
- Provides 265 radius flying vision around the target for 1.5/1.8/2.1/2.4 seconds.
- Affects creatures in the fog of war, but not invisible creatures.
Scurry
The hero has a chance to avoid physical attacks while near trees. When activated, this ability speeds up movement and allows you to pass through creatures and trees.
- Hoodwink gains 2 charges immediately upon learning Scurry.
- Casting interrupts Hoodwink's interruptable abilities.
- Grants thru and tree movement for Hoodwink.
- The passive modifier is initially hidden and becomes visible when the hero is next to a tree.
- Evasion and the active part of the ability are not related to each other
Decoy
Requires Aghanim's Shard to unlock.
The hero sends an illusion-dummy to the specified point. If an enemy attacks this illusion or uses a targeted ability on it, it will disappear, but will throw a weak version of Bushwhack's trap net at the offender.
- Decoy can be applied without rotation to the selected point.
- Does not interrupt Hoodwink's channeling abilities or any other orders when cast.
- When created, the illusion automatically follows the specified point.
- Illusion always has through movement.
- Casting again while the decoy illusion exists will teleport all existing Decoy illusions to Hoodwink's location and give them the same move order as the last Decoy illusion cast.
- When a creature within 1000 radius of the decoy illusion attacks it with a normal attack or uses a creature-targeting ability on it, the trap activates. When the trap is activated, the illusion is instantly destroyed.
Hunter's Boomerang
Requires Aghanim's Scepter to unlock.
The hero throws a boomerang at the specified enemy, which flies in an arc and returns to the owner when it reaches the target. The boomerang deals damage to all enemies in its path and places a hunter's mark on them, slowing the victims, increasing their spell damage, and decreasing their status resistances.
- When cast on a unit, the boomerang targets it
- Can be cast on any creature, including allies, but excluding self, buildings, and wards.
- The boomerang either travels at a speed of 900 or reaches the targeted creature between 0.5 and 1.2 seconds, whichever is faster. Likewise when returning.
- The boomerang is always thrown to the right of Hoodwink and returns from the opposite side.
- Boomerang first applies the debuff and then the damage.
- Stacks multiplicatively with other sources of status resistance reduction.
- The boomerang grants 150 radius flying vision around it while flying. The review has no duration.
- The primary target takes damage and the debuff when it enters the boomerang's range, just like any other creature.
- Applies a basic incoming damage buff to the target. Stacks additively with other primary damage manipulator sources.
sharp shooter
The hero prepares a fatal shot from his crossbow. It deals massive damage to the enemy hero, slows them down, and inflicts exhaustion. Damage and effect duration become maximum after 3 seconds. preparation, and the shot occurs automatically after 5 seconds. The recoil pushes the hero back to a distance of 350.
- For better readability, the turn rate during Sharpshooter is given in degrees per second, instead of radians of 0.03 seconds.
- The timer above Hoodwink's head shows how much time is left before the shot. This timer is visible to everyone.
- Hoodwink can perform other actions during Sharpshooter. Non-targeted spells and items are used normally.
- Hoodwink gets disarmed during Sharpshooter. Attack orders act like move orders during a disable, so right-clicking an enemy also sets a new location.
- After the projectile is released, Hoodwink is thrown back in an arc 75 high and up to 350 range over 5 seconds, or until it hits the ground again.
- The projectile starts from the position of Hoodwink. It can hit creatures up to a distance of 3125. It doesn't count creatures beyond the starting point.
- Can only hit heroes or creep-heroes. Does not hit invulnerable or hidden units by flying through them.
- The projectile first applies the debuff, then deals damage.
- The projectile provides 350 radius flying vision while flying. This review has no delay.
- The after-animation begins at the start of the cast, so the effective animation before the cast depends on when the shot was fired. This means that the after-animation can vary from 4.5 to 9.5 seconds.
