DreamLeague Season 26 Group Stage #1 Results

From May 19 to June 1, 2025, one of the biggest online Dota 2 tournaments of the year is taking place — DreamLeague Season 26. The first stage of the event was Group Stage 1, where 16 teams competed across two groups of 8. This stage was crucial, as only 8 teams advanced to the next phase of DreamLeague Season 26, where they’ll battle for the championship title and a $1,000,000 prize pool. In this article, we’ll break down everything that happened during Group Stage 1 of DreamLeague S26 and highlight the most important moments.

DreamLeague Season 26 Group Stage 1 Format

DL Season 26 sticks to a familiar structure, but with a few unique tweaks. The tournament is split into several stages, starting with Group Stage 1, which ran from May 19 to May 22, 2025. The 16 participants were divided into two groups (A and B), each containing 8 teams. All matches were played in a Bo2 format, which allowed for possible draws. The point system was simple:

  • 2 points for a win
  • 1 point for a draw
  • 0 points for a loss

At the end of the group stage:

  • The top four teams from each group advanced to Group Stage 2
  • The remaining teams were eliminated

This format allowed for a large number of matches without the extended durations of Bo3 series.

DreamLeague Season 26 Group A Summary

Let’s dive into the results of Group A and see which teams advanced and which were eliminated:

PlaceTeamSeries (W-D-L)Games (W-L)
1 Aurora Gaming 3–4–010–4
2 Nigma Galaxy 4–2–110–4
3 BB Team 2–4–18–6
4 Team Liquid 3–2–28–6
5 Shopify Rebellion 2–3–27–7
6 Xtreme Gaming 0–5–25–9
7 Boom Esports 2–1–45–9
8 OG.Latam 0–3–43–11

As expected, some of the top-performing DreamLeague Season 26 Teams in Group A were those anticipated to succeed. Aurora Gaming topped the table, followed by Nigma Galaxy, BB Team, and Team Liquid — all of whom advanced to the next stage. Meanwhile, Boom Esports and OG.LATAM were eliminated, which also aligned with pre-tournament expectations.

A surprising performance came from Shopify Rebellion, who managed multiple draws against stronger opponents and narrowly missed qualification. Xtreme Gaming, expected to be a playoff contender, underperformed and ended up 6th.

DreamLeague Season 26 Group B Summary

Now let’s look at the Group B results in Group Stage 1 of DL 26:

PlaceTeamSeries (W-D-L)Games (W-L)
1 PARIVISION 5–2–012–2
2 Yakult Brothers 3–3–19–5
3 Talon Esports 2–4–18–6
4 Gaimin Gladiators 2–3–27–7
5 Team Falcons 2–3–27–7
6 NAVI Junior 2–2–36–8
7 Avulus 1–2–44–10
8 Edge 1–1–53–11

The Group B standings were more surprising. While PARIVISION dominated the group, the next few qualifiers were unexpected: Yakult Brothers and Talon Esports secured 2nd and 3rd place respectively, and Gaimin Gladiators clinched 4th place after a decisive match against Team Falcons. Despite showing promising moments, NAVI Junior ended up 6th. Their failure to capitalize on winnable matches against Talon Esports and Edge ultimately cost them a spot in the next round.
