With the arrival of a new Fortnite season, players can look forward to an exciting Battle Pass filled with goodies. While Fortnite Remix offered a shorter Battle Pass experience, this season returns to the classic full-length format. It features seven unique skins along with a secret skin set to unlock in a few weeks. Additionally, the progression system has been revamped—moving away from the star-based system to a more traditional reward progression style.
Read until the end to learn how to get free rewards without buying the Battle Pass this season.
New Battle Pass Fortnite Start & End Time

The new season kicked off on December 1, 2024, and will run until February 21, 2025. It’s a full-fledged season with a fairly generous time frame, allowing players to collect all the rewards without rushing.
This season begins with the fall of an asteroid, which triggers the opening of a portal. From it emerges a horned figure—a dramatic moment you can see in the season trailer! The theme draws inspiration from the Far East, featuring Japanese mythology, samurai, cherry blossoms, katanas, and demonic deities embodied through iconic masks of fierce faces. As always, everything is vibrant and impressive, with so much to take in that it feels like stepping into a candy store that has just opened.
This season, the game is set for another big shake-up — Fortnite First Person view, it will be available in beta mode soon. We’ve covered more details about it in a separate article — happy reading!
As I mentioned earlier, the reward system has now been simplified to a classic format. This offers a nostalgic throwback to OG Fortnite with its classic map for veterans or a fresh experience for newer players. Now, rewards unlock progressively. Previously, players earned Battle Stars and could choose how to spend them on various rewards. Now, you accumulate experience and earn rewards step by step.
Prices For Season 6 Battle Pass Fortnite

As classically expected, the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 Battle Pass has been officially confirmed to cost 1,000 V-Bucks, a slight increase of 50 V-Bucks compared to previous seasons.
Fortunately, Epic Games has assured players that the real-world cost of V-Bucks remains unchanged, and you’ll still have the opportunity to earn V-Bucks by leveling up the Battle Pass.
For those interested in other options, the 25 Battle Pass Reward Bundle and the Battle Bundle are priced at 1,800 V-Bucks (a reduction from 1,850) and 2,800 V-Bucks, respectively.

It’s especially satisfying to jump into the game during the second or third week when many quests are already unlocked, and almost every action you take progresses one of them. That exhilarating sense of achievement and the rush of bright emotions are what truly captivates me in Fortnite.
Quests

Complete quests to unlock the rewards listed above in order. Each quest grants a specific amount of XP, which is displayed next to the task requirements in the menu.
As in previous seasons, quests are divided into various groups, and this time, there are quests linked to a mobile app. This might be connected to the recent return of the mobile version of the
game for iOS.

The unexplored map beckons, enticing players to dive in and complete quests like “Catch different Sprites in a single match.”

There are also quests in the Story group. For now, only one is available, but as you progress through the previous ones, new quests will gradually unlock.
This season will be remembered as both vibrant and innovative. The game continues to push boundaries and expand its mechanics, with the new chapter being a shining example of this evolution.
