Now let’s talk about what’s coming in Diablo 4 Season 10. Blizzard has decided not to slow down and will bring a lot of exciting new content this season. We’ll see a brand-new boss, unique mechanics, exclusive gear that can only be obtained during this season, and much more. Let’s dive deeper into the details of what awaits us.
Diablo 4 Season 10 New Seasonal Mechanic

Season 10 will introduce a new seasonal feature called Chaos Perks. This system allows players to enhance their character’s skills by adding extra effects that not only increase their overall power but also create new opportunities for building unique playstyles.
Each class will have access to a total of 16 Chaos Perks: 4 class-specific perks and the rest divided across rarities — Magic, Rare, Legendary, and Unique, with 3 perks for each tier. However, there is an important limitation: you can equip up to 3 non-Unique perks of any rarity and only 1 Unique perk in your Chaos Perk slots. This restriction makes choosing the right combination especially strategic and impactful for your build.
Infernal Hordes Update
In the new seasonal update, Blizzard is preparing significant changes to the Infernal Horde activity to make it more dynamic and balanced. Players can expect a rework of the Offering system, adjustments to monster numbers and compositions, as well as an update to the start of each run — now it will begin with an Infernal Offering already active, creating a faster pace and higher intensity right from the start.
Additionally, the developers have introduced a new Chaos wave that can be activated when choosing rewards. This feature brings extra challenges and adds more variety to the gameplay, giving players the choice to take on greater risks in exchange for potentially better rewards.
It is also worth noting the changes to difficulties below Torment: in these modes, Infernal Hordes will be replaced with Fleeting Hordes — a simplified version consisting of just 4 waves and a final battle against two Fell Council bosses. This streamlined version is designed for players still learning the mechanics while still preserving the tense and exciting atmosphere of the encounters.

Bartuc is a new boss with unique mechanics, available only in the Infernal Hordes of Season 10. After completing the final wave of this activity, players will have a choice: face the Fell Council or spend their party’s Aether to summon Bartuc.
It is important to note that summoning him requires spending Aether, but the rewards for defeating Bartuc will drop on the ground as standard loot.
New Chaos Armor

Chaos Armor is a new system that allows Unique items to drop in different equipment slots, such as Helm, Chest, Gloves, Pants, or Boots.
These items stand out not only by their form but also by their enhanced properties: their Unique effects and affixes will always roll at maximum power and are guaranteed to include at least one Greater Affix. It is also important to note that you cannot equip both the standard and Chaos versions of the same Unique in different slots at the same time.
And that’s not all: in Season 10, each class will receive one new Unique item, making it a total of 6 new Uniques added to the game. This will give players fresh opportunities for building characters and experimenting with playstyles, expanding the variety of synergies throughout the playthrough.
Chaos Rifts

Chaos Rifts are random portals that appear during Helltides and Nightmare Dungeons in Diablo 4 Season 10. When activated, they unleash additional Chaos monsters, turning the encounter into a fast-paced challenge. Completing a rift rewards you with various loot such as experience for faster leveling, gems to enhance your gear, gold, and valuable items. On Torment difficulties, Chaos Rifts are the primary source of Chaos Armor, and there is also a chance to encounter rare Mythic Chaos Rifts that offer even greater rewards, including powerful Unique items. As a result, Chaos Rifts become one of the core endgame mechanics, combining unpredictable battles with the opportunity to obtain top-tier loot.
EGW Opinion on Diablo 4 Season 10
Diablo 4 Season 10: Infernal Chaos looks like a major update that will breathe new life into the game after boring Sins of Horadrim Season 9. The developers are introducing unique mechanics such as Chaos Perks and Chaos Armor, adding the new boss Bartuc, and expanding the endgame with chaotic rifts. All of this makes the upcoming season rich and diverse. Players can expect new opportunities to experiment with builds, more challenges, and generous rewards. The launch is set for September 23, 2025 — a season that promises to be truly exciting and memorable.
