CS:GO mouse settings - sensitivity, resolution, pro-gamer settings

For every player, mouse sensitivity is one of the most important things to pay attention to. All gaming mice have a minimum of 400DPI.
DPI (if translated into human language) is the number of images per second by the camera of the surface on which you drive (rug). The program of your mouse compares these pictures and due to this, the cursor moves. Naturally, the higher the indicator, the better the mouse works.
Which sensitivity should you choose?
Mouse sensitivity is one of the most important points in customizing CS: GO for yourself. To correctly determine at which value it is easiest for you to play, try on the training map to quickly aim the sight at the bots that will run out from around the corner, or just move along a certain route - so you will immediately understand whether the set indicator effectively affects your aim.
Most pros play with little sensitivity. The main argument for this is the fact that the scope moves smoother with low sense than with high. Low sensitivity makes it much easier to control your spray, but it requires a lot more mechanical hand movement. Snipers usually set the big sense in order to target opponents faster, some set it to less than 1 zoom. The most popular option on the pro scene is Woxic, which plays with great sensitivity.
Mouse settings
Let's go directly to the setup. Almost all pro-players play without mouse acceleration (Acceleration is an artificial acceleration of the cursor speed depending on the rate of movement of the mouse itself. In other words, the faster you move the mouse, the more it starts to accelerate).
- m_rawinput 1 - ignore all OS settings;
- m_customaccel 0 - disable acceleration;
- m_customaccel_exponent 0 - how much the mouse will accelerate (its value);
- m_mousespeed 0 - additional acceleration elements;
It is more convenient to adjust the sensitivity itself through the slider in the CS: GO settings, so that you can immediately test and find the optimal value for yourself.
Many mice have their own programs for adjusting DPI and other parameters, so you can play around in the parameters there too.

Examples of setting up pro players
- Stewie2K: DPI 450, in-game sensitivity 1.85
- Coldzera: DPI 800, in-game sensitivity 1.1
- tarik: DPI 800, in-game sensitivity 1.1
- s1mple: DPI 400, in-game sensitivity 3.09
- NiKo: DPI 400, in-game sensitivity 1.38
- Perfecto: DPI 800, in-game sensitivity 0.9
- Boombl4: DPI 400, in-game sensitivity 1.45
- Electronic: DPI 400, in-game sensitivity 2.2
- B1t: DPI 400, in-game sensitivity 1.42
Choosing a mouse pad
Professional players prefer large rugs, about 40x30, 50x40 centimeters. With such rugs, it is much easier to play the game without being distracted by rearranging the mouse so that it does not fly off the rug.
Choose a mat according to your mouse sensitivity. Since with a small one, you need a large carpet from 35 centimeters in width.
