Best League of Legends Teams in 2025

The 2025 League of Legends season turned out to be incredibly packed and exciting. We saw the debut of First Stand - a new international tournament that fills the gap between the winter and spring splits, matching the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) in terms of prestige and importance for the teams. The introduction of the Fearless Draft to the professional scene allowed players and teams to evolve by expanding their champion pools and diversifying their strategies. From a spectator's perspective, these matches became much more engaging to watch.
In this blog, we are recapping the 2025 season and presenting our list of the top 10 teams that stood out over the past year. Furthermore, we will analyze whether these teams can maintain their momentum and deliver similar results in the upcoming 2026 season.
10.FlyQuest

Opening our list of the Best League of Legends Teams in 2025 is FlyQuest, a team that demonstrated strong and consistent performance both in their home region and on the international stage.
FlyQuest roster 2025:
- Bwipo - Top
- Inspired - Jungle
- Quad - Mid
- Massu - ADC
- Busio - Support
FlyQuest delivered excellent results within their region, winning three regional championships. Internationally, they secured a 5th-6th place finish at MSI - losing in a very close series against Bilibili Gaming - and also took 5th-6th place at the EWC, where they faced a formidable opponent in Gen.G, who were dominant across all tournaments at that time. Additionally, the team had a decent showing at Worlds 2025, though they fell just short of reaching the main stage of the tournament. They first lost to G2 with a 1-2 score and then were defeated 0-2 by CFO in their final qualifying match.
Following Worlds, the organization made several roster changes. The lineup for the 2026 season is currently as follows:
- GaKGoS - Top
- Gryffinn - Jungle
- Quad - Mid
- Massu - ADC
- Cryogen - Support
The team has promoted the young top laner GaKGoS to the main roster, further strengthening the squad with two more young talents: Gryffinn, who previously played for T1 Academy Rookies, and Cryogen. Overall, this roster looks promising in the long run, though the team will likely face some struggles at the start of the season.
9.CTBC Flying Oyster

In my opinion, CTBC Flying Oyster (CFO) became the breakout team of the 2025 season. The team delivered stellar results in their home region, winning 3 out of 3 regional tournaments. They managed to secure a 3rd-4th place finish at First Stand, falling to Karmine Corp in the match for a spot in the finals. Personally, I think they looked much more impressive throughout all their matches, and they were simply a bit unlucky. During the 2025 season, they also took 5th-6th place at MSI, losing to AG.AL in the quarterfinals, and finished in the top 5-8 at Worlds 2025.
The CFO roster that achieved these results in 2025:
- Driver - Top
- Rest - Top
- JunJia - Jungle
- HongQ - Mid
- Doggo - ADC
- Kaiwing - Support
Following Worlds 2025, like many other organizations, the roster underwent changes. Kaiwing left the team to join Keyd Stars, while HongQ and JunJia moved to JD Gaming.
CFO roster for the 2026 season:
- Rest - Top
- Shadow - Jungle
- Pungyeon - Mid
- Doggo - ADC
- Orce - Support
- 2274 - Support
The unexpected acquisition of Shadow from Bilibili Gaming is an undeniable upgrade for the squad, as is the addition of Pungyeon, despite his somewhat lackluster performance during the 2025 season with Freecs. The two new supports have very little experience, which could be either a benefit or a drawback. However, Doggo is an exceptional and self-sufficient ADC who is capable of carrying games for the team on his own.
8.Bilibili Gaming

Bilibili Gaming had a mixed run in the 2025 season. The team started with a 4th-place finish in LPL Split 1 and a 2nd-place finish in LPL Split 2. At MSI, the squad took 4th place after a clean-sweep loss to their fellow countrymen, Anyone’s Legend. Their performance at EWC was limited to a 5th-8th place finish following a 1-2 defeat against G2 Esports. They later managed to secure a victory in LPL Split 3. However, at the main event of the year, Worlds 2025, the team had a very poor showing, finishing only 9th-11th after losing the qualification match for the main stage to Top Esports with a 1-2 score.
Bilibili Gaming roster for the 2025 season:
- Bin - Top
- Shad0w - Jungle
- Beichuan - Jungle
- Knight - Mid
- Elk - ADC
- ON - Support
Following the World Championship, the roster also underwent changes. Shad0w moved to CFO, and he was replaced by XUN, who spent the 2025 season with JD Gaming. They also bolstered their mid lane by promoting Yxl from their academy. The most unexpected move, however, was the signing of Viper - the former HLE player - to replace Elk.
BLG roster for the 2026 season:
- Bin - Top
- XUN - Jungle
- Beichuan - Jungle
- Knight - Mid
- Yxl - Mid
- Viper - ADC
- ON - Support
The addition of Viper is an undeniable upgrade for the roster, but questions remain regarding how the team will handle the language barrier. Furthermore, the overall performance of the BLG squad in 2025 raised many concerns, especially at Worlds. Consequently, it is difficult to make any bold predictions for the current lineup.
7.G2 Esports

G2 Esports is a legendary tag in the LEC that has repeatedly proven its regional dominance while delivering decent results on the international stage. The team started the season with second-place finishes in both the Winter and Spring splits, but only managed a 7th-8th place finish at MSI after a 0-3 loss to FlyQuest in the lower bracket. At the EWC, the team improved to 4th place, falling to T1 with a 0-2 score. After securing 1st place in the Summer Split, G2 Esports entered Worlds as the LEC favorites and finished in the top 5-8, eventually losing to Top Esports 1-3.
G2 roster for the 2025 season:
- BrokenBlade - Top
- SkewMond - Jungle
- Caps - Mid
- Hans Sama - ADC
- Labrov - Support
G2 Esports is one of the few organizations that kept their roster completely unchanged for the 2026 season. This is a major advantage for the team; having watched them throughout the past year, it was clear how much the squad grew and developed their synergy. Consequently, there are high expectations for this roster in the upcoming season, and it is entirely possible that with this lineup, the team will achieve even greater results on the international stage.
6.Top Esports

I would place Top Esports in the sixth spot on our list. The team demonstrated consistent results throughout the entire season, winning LPL Split 1 and the LPL Regional Finals, while also securing second place in LPL Split 3. Additionally, the team finished 3rd-4th at both First Stand and Worlds 2025, where they eventually fell to T1 with a 0-3 score.
TES roster for the 2025 season:
- 369 - Top
- Kanavi - Jungle
- Creme - Mid
- JackeyLove - ADC
- Hang - Support
For the 2026 season, the organization has shifted its focus toward a fully Chinese roster by removing Kanavi from the lineup. Their roster now looks as follows:
- 369 - Top
- Naiyou - Jungle
- Kanavi - Jungle
- Creme - Mid
- JiaQi - ADC
- JackeyLove - ADC
- Fengyue - Support
- Hang - Support
Essentially, the only new addition to the team is Naiyou, who played for Top Esports, LGD Gaming, and NIP during the 2025 season. All other players were already part of the organization as active substitutes. Therefore, the core of the team remains largely unchanged, and this stability could yield great results for the squad in the upcoming season.
5.KT Rolster

Opening the top 5 teams of the 2025 season is KT Rolster. For most of the year, the team’s performance was somewhat underwhelming, with their only international appearance being Worlds 2025. However, at the World Championship, the squad managed to surprise everyone - from fans and analysts to professional teams. Expectations were low, with many predicting a top-8 finish at best, or even a failure to exit the Swiss stage. Yet, the team shocked the world by securing 2nd place, losing only to T1 in the grand finals with a 2-3 score. Ultimately, the main issue for the team was the Fearless Draft and a limited champion pool, which cost them the fifth and deciding game.
KT Rolster roster for the 2025 season:
- PerfecT - Top
- Cuzz - Jungle
- Bdd - Mid
- deokdam - ADC
- Peter - Support
After such a successful run at the World Championship, few expected such global changes to the lineup. The organization made three major substitutions, and the roster for the 2026 season will look as follows:
- PerfecT - Top
- Cuzz - Jungle
- Bdd - Mid
- Aiming - ADC
- Ghost - Support
- Pollu - Support
The team has added both newcomers and veterans of the scene. It remains unclear how these sweeping changes will affect the team, and this roster can hardly be called a "superteam." Therefore, we expect results that are at least on par with the 2025 season. Naturally, much will depend on the patches released throughout the year. 4. Hanwha Life Esports

HLE takes the fourth spot in our rankings. With the arrival of top laner Zeus, the team started the season very aggressively, winning both the LCK Cup 2025 and First Stand, where they essentially faced no real competition. However, the team later lost some momentum, first losing to T1 in the MSI qualifiers and then suffering a 1-2 defeat against AG.AL at the EWC, finishing in 5th-8th place. Following a second-place finish at the LCK Cup 2025 (losing to Gen.G 1-3 in the finals) and a similarly disappointing 1-3 loss to Gen.G at Worlds 2025, they concluded the World Championship in the 5th-8th place bracket.
HLE roster for the 2025 season:
- Zeus - Top
- Peanut - Jungle
- Zeka - Mid
- Viper - ADC
- Delight - Support
After Worlds 2025, the team saw a high-profile roster move that no one expected: the departure of Viper and the arrival of Gumayusi. The current lineup is as follows:
- Zeus - Top
- Peanut - Jungle
- Zeka - Mid
- Gumayusi - ADC
- Delight - Support
HLE excels at playing a slow, methodical game and performing in the late-game - a style that Gumayusi executes exceptionally well. Furthermore, his experience as a World Champion will certainly be an asset to the team. Overall, the addition of the former T1 ADC can be considered an upgrade. However, during the 2025 KeSPA Cup, the full HLE roster already lost in the finals to a restructured T1 lineup.
3.Anyone's Legend

Opening our Top 3 is a team from China - Anyone's Legend. The squad demonstrated strong and consistent gameplay throughout the entire season. They kicked off the year with a second-place finish in LPL Split 1, followed by a victory in LPL Split 2. At MSI, the team took 3rd place after a very intense 2-3 battle against T1. During the EWC, they managed to reach the finals to face the then-invincible Gen.G, eventually losing 3-2. At Worlds, the team faced T1 in the quarterfinals; and as everyone knows, T1 does not lose to LPL teams at Worlds. Consequently, AG.AL finished the World Championship in 5th-8th place.
Anyone's Legend roster for the 2025 season:
- Flandre - Top
- Tarzan - Jungle
- Shanks - Mid
- Hope - ADC
- Kael - Support
Anyone's Legend also became one of the few organizations to keep their roster unchanged after Worlds. This lineup, along with their coaching staff, has the potential to achieve massive success in the 2026 season. They are a team that has been, and will continue to be, exciting to watch - so make sure to keep an eye on the LPL news.
2.T1

The legendary T1 organization takes the #2 spot on our list this year. Following the departure of Zeus and the arrival of Doran, the team's season got off to a rocky start, finishing only 5th-6th at the LCK Cup 2025. However, after that defeat and a mid-tournament break, the team managed to rectify many of their mistakes and refine their playstyle. This comeback led them to second-place finishes at both the LCK 2025 Road to MSI and the 2025 Mid-Season Invitational. Subsequently, they secured 3rd place at the EWC and 4th place in the LCK 2025 Season. And, of course, their most significant triumph - which almost no one predicted this season - was their victory at Worlds 2025. This marked the team's third consecutive title. Such an achievement is unprecedented in esports, and this record for the most Worlds titles will likely never be broken, not to mention Faker’s personal record of six Worlds championships.
T1 roster for the 2025 season:
- Doran - Top
- Oner - Jungle
- Faker - Mid
- Gumayusi - ADC
- Keria - Support
No one expected that following such a high-profile victory at the World Championship, T1 would make any roster changes. However, Gumayusi’s contract expired, and he decided to join Hanwha Life Esports. In response, T1 quickly found an excellent replacement in the young talent Peyz. Previously, Peyz spent most of his career with Gen.G before moving to JD Gaming.
T1 roster for the 2026 season:
- Doran - Top
- Oner - Jungle
- Faker - Mid
- Peyz - ADC
- Keria - Support
In this new lineup, the team has already secured its first victory at the 2025 KeSPA Cup. While most teams fielded rosters from their secondary squads or academies, the finals were played against HLE’s revamped main roster featuring Gumayusi. Given how quickly they’ve developed their synergy, I believe T1 is headed for an even better season than the last. However, the mystery remains: can they extend their winning streak at Worlds, and will they continue to be the ultimate nightmare for every LPL team?
1.Gen.G

Taking the #1 spot on our list is Gen.G. Throughout the 2025 season, the team transformed into a winning machine, only to stall at Worlds. They dominated the entirety of 2025, yet once again finished in 3rd-4th place at the World Championship, falling to KT Rolster - a team they had defeated countless times throughout the season without any difficulty. Their 1-3 loss to KT was a massive shock to the entire community. Aside from Worlds, the team won the LCK 2025 Road to MSI, the 2025 Mid-Season Invitational, the Esports World Cup 2025, and the LCK 2025 Season, while also securing second place at the LCK Cup 2025. Had they won that as well, they likely would have taken First Stand with ease, making their track record for the year almost entirely golden.
Gen.G roster for the 2025 season:
- Kiin - Top
- Canyon - Jungle
- Chovy - Mid
- Ruler - ADC
- Duro - Support
Gen.G has also decided to keep their roster unchanged, which I believe is the right decision. The team was just one step away from achieving a "Golden Road" (a perfect season). It is possible that fatigue from a nearly non-stop tournament schedule played a role in their late-season performance. In a landscape where many LoL teams often resort to radical changes after any setback, giving this specific roster time to rest, fix their mistakes, and introduce something new to their gameplay is far more practical. Such a measured approach is more effective than dismantling a formidable roster over a 3rd-4th place finish at Worlds.
