Cloud9 Blue выиграла Nerd Street Gamers: Summer Championship

The Nerd Street Gamers: Summer Championship has come to an end. The tournament, which took place online from August 18-22, saw 32 North American teams compete for a combined $ 20,000 prize pool. The champion became the Cloud9 Blue team, which beat NRG with a score of 3: 1 in the grand final (Haven - 13: 2; Breeze - 13: 5; Split - 10:13; Icebox - 13:11).

Even at the group stage, Cloud9 Blue showed its ambitions, beating TSM Academy (2: 0) and SoaR (2: 1). After a successful start, the team continued to build on their success in the playoffs, closing OOKERS (2: 0) in the 1/8 finals. Then the team went through Immortals (2: 0) and Evil Geniuses (2: 1) to get to the grand final and get their hands on another trophy.

The second finalist also swept headlong through the group stage, beating YFP Gaming (2: 0) and Evil Geniuses (2: 1). However, in the playoffs, the team began to face difficulties, as Teal Seam (2: 1), Complexity (2: 0) and Squirtle Squad (2: 1) faced problems on the way to the NRG grand final.

Cloud9 Blue will now prepare for VCT 2021: North America Last Chance Qualifier, where it will try to qualify for VALORANT Champions 2021 at the end of the year.
