Team Liquid becomes VCT 2021 Champion: Europe Stage 3 Challengers 2
/The VCT 2021: Europe Stage 3 Challengers 2 has come to an end. In the championship, which ran from July 28 to August 1, eight European teams fought for a combined prize pool of € 35,000, as well as two tickets to VCT 2021: EMEA Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs... Team Liquid became the champion of the tournament, which in the grand final was stronger than Giants Gaming with a score of 3: 1 (Icebox - 13: 5; Ascent - 10:13; Breeze - 13:10; Bind - 13: 6).
The tournament began very tense for the future winner, since already in the quarterfinals the team experienced problems with Team Vitality. Nevertheless, after such a difficult victory, Team Liquid managed to reach the final of the upper bracket, beating TENSTAR with a score of 2: 0.
However, already in the final, “liquid” could not cope with the resistance of Giants Gaming, allowing the opponent too much and recorded a crushing defeat with a score of 0: 2. Nevertheless, the team managed to return to the game, having dealt with Fnatic from the final of the lower bracket.
The grand final itself began with Team Liquid's advantage over the opponent, clearly wanting to take revenge for their recent defeat. Largely thanks to ScreaM, which was recognized as MVP, the “liquid” were able to impose their game and close the opponent with a score of 3: 1, becoming the winner of another big tournament.
