MIBR send Team Heretics to the lower bracket at VALORANT Champions 2025
In a thrilling upper bracket playoff clash at VALORANT Champions 2025, Brazilian powerhouse MIBR defeated Spain’s Team Heretics with a convincing 2-0 scoreline, pushing the European squad down to the lower bracket.
The opening map, Corrode, was a nail-biter. MIBR maintained control for most of the game, but it took overtime to finally close it out 14-12.
On Sunset, chosen by Heretics, the Brazilians once again proved dominant. Despite late efforts from Heretics to bounce back, MIBR secured the win and swept the series.
Arthur “artzin” Araujo stood out as the MVP of the match, delivering consistent impact across both maps and excelling in opening duels. Erick “aspas” Santos also shined on Sunset, posting a 19–10–5 stat line and a 1.45 rating.
The loss sends Heretics into the lower bracket, where they now face a much tougher path to the grand finals. They will meet the loser of the NRG vs GIANTX matchup in their next elimination test.
With this victory, MIBR continue their run in the upper bracket, solidifying their reputation as one of the tournament favorites. Their confident form follows an earlier dominant win over RRQ, keeping their championship hopes alive.
