
Sentinels Exit VALORANT Champions 2025 After Defeat to XLG
Sentinels have concluded their run at VALORANT Champions 2025 after falling to Xi Lai Gaming (XLG) in a decisive elimination match.
In a best-of-three series, Sentinels lost 1-2 to the Chinese squad. The map scores were Abyss 10-13, Lotus 13-11, and Haven 8-13 in favor of XLG.
With this result, Sentinels finish in the 13th–16th place bracket, securing $20,000 in prize money. Meanwhile, XLG advance in the tournament and will face GIANTX in a crucial match for a playoff spot.
VALORANT Champions 2025 is taking place in Paris from September 12 to October 5, featuring a $2.25 million prize pool. Alongside Sentinels, another tournament favorite, EDward Gaming — the reigning Champions 2024 winner — has also been eliminated.
VALORANT Champions 2025 is the largest tournament in the VALORANT discipline, serving as the grand finale of the VALORANT Champions Tour that took place throughout 2025. The event brings together 16 of the best teams from around the world to compete for a prize pool of $2,250,000. It is being held in Paris, France.
