DRX Defeat Team Liquid 2:0 at VALORANT Champions 2025 in Group C
In a Group C matchup at VALORANT Champions 2025, DRX secured a confident 2-0 victory over Team Liquid. The series began with the map veto: DRX banned Sunset, while Liquid removed Haven. DRX then picked Abyss as the first map, and Liquid responded with Bind.
On Abyss, DRX showcased a more disciplined and composed game. The map lasted 47 minutes and 55 seconds, ending 13-8 in their favor. While Liquid managed to stay competitive in the first half, DRX took full control after the side switch. Keiko stood out for Liquid on Omen (17/17/8, ~238 ACS, ADR ~152), but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide. DRX had Flashback shining on Yoru (21/12/5), alongside solid performances from MaKo, free1ng, BeYN, and HYUNMIN. With strong defensive setups and quick adaptation, DRX pulled ahead in the series.
On Bind, Team Liquid fought harder, and the match turned out to be closer, ending 13-10 for DRX. The game lasted just over 51 minutes, with both teams trading rounds in the early and mid stages. However, Liquid struggled to close out critical pushes and executes in attack. Once again, keiko was the standout for Liquid, this time on Brimstone (15/15/8, ADR ~169). For DRX, BeYN was particularly impressive on Fade (19/13/7, high ADR), while Flashback and Waylay also played key roles. In the second half, DRX held their ground under pressure, winning crucial defensive rounds to secure the map.
With this 2-0 win, DRX strengthened their position in Group C, while Team Liquid will have to regroup and find answers after a tough start to the tournament.
