VCT 2022 Preview: APAC Stage 2 Challengers

VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: APAC Stage 2 Challengers will start very soon. As part of the online championship, which will last until June 26, twenty teams from all over Asia and the Pacific will compete for a prize pool of $150,000, ranking points, and two trips to the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Masters Stage 2 - Copenhagen. We offer to prepare for the start of the championship and get acquainted with the format of the championship, the participants and the distribution of the prize fund.

VALORANT Champions Tour 2022 Format: APAC Stage 2 Challengers

VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: APAC Stage 2 Challengers will be held in three stages:

• Play-In Stage: June 9-12.
  
• Group stage: 15-20 June.
• Playoffs: June 23-26.

Play-in stage

As part of the Play-In stage, eight teams will take part, which will be divided into two groups.

Group A:

• BOOM Esports, Made in Thailand, CERBERUS Esports and Enigma Gaming.
  

Group B:

• Bleed eSports, Rex Regum Qeon, Team Big BAAM and Ghetto Artist.
  

The top two teams from each quartet will advance to the next stage of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: APAC Stage 2 Challengers, where they will face the seeded teams. All matches of the Play-In stage will be held in BO3 format.

Group stage

As part of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: APAC Stage 2 Challengers group stage, seeded teams will face off against the best teams from the Play-In stage. At the same time, the organizers made a draw in advance, dividing the participants into four groups.

Group A:

• ONIC Esports, Gaimin Gladiators, Griffin E-Sports + team from Play-In.
  

Group B:

• XERXIA, Alter Ego, Global Esports + team from Play-In.
  

Group C:

• Paper Rex, Oasis Gaming, ORDER + team from Play-In.
  

Group D:

• Team Secret, FW ESPORTS, Fancy United Esports + team from Play-In.
  

The top two teams from each group will advance to the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: APAC Stage 2 Challengers playoffs. All group stage matches will also be played in BO3 format.

Playoffs

The championship playoffs will offer participants a classic double elimination bracket. The best teams from the group stage of VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: APAC Stage 2 Challengers will form quarter-final pairs according to the following rules:

• A1-D2.
  
• B1-C2.
• A2-D1.
• C1-B2.

• 1st: $30,000 + slot to VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Masters Stage 2 - Copenhagen.
• 2nd Place: $20,000 + slot to VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Masters Stage 2 - Copenhagen.
• 3rd place: $12,500 + 75 points.
• 4th place: $10,000 + 65 points.
• 5th-6th place: $8,750 + 55 points.
• 7th-8th place: $7,500 + 45 points.
• 9th-12th place: $5,000 + 40 points.
• 13th-16th place: $4,000 + 35 points.
• 17th-18th place: $2,500 + 30 points.
• 19th-20th place: $2,000 + 25 points.

VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: APAC Stage 2 Challengers will take place online from June 9 to 26.
