FOKUS and BIG qualified for VCT 2022: EMEA Stage 2 Challengers
VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: EMEA Challengers Promotion has ended. At the championship, which was held online from April 1 to April 9, nine teams from Europe, Turkey and the Middle East fought for two tickets to VCT 2022: EMEA Stage 2 Challengers. The winners of the places in the summer split were the teams FOKUS and BIG, which turned out to be stronger than other rivals in the championship.
The event for FOKUS started from the group stage, during which the team beat Anonymo Esports (2:1) and Team Falcons (2:0), thus making it to the playoffs. Here the team turned out to be stronger than Surreal Esports (2:1), SuperMassive Blaze (2:0) and BIG (2:0), winning their first ticket to VCT 2022: EMEA Stage 2 Challengers.
In turn, BIG, having started at the tournament already in the playoffs and beating Anonymo Esports (2:0) in the semifinals, failed to cope with FOKUS (0:2) and fell into the lower bracket. However, here the German team managed to outplay Surreal Esports (3:0), thanks to which they qualified for VCT 2022: EMEA Stage 2 Challengers.
