VCT 2022: APAC Stage 1 Challengers will start today, following which two teams will proceed to VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Masters Stage 1. In this regard, we invite you to get acquainted with the format of the tournament, participants and the distribution of the prize pool of the championship.

Format of VCT 2022: APAC Stage 1 Challengers

The championship will be held in three stages:

• Play-In Stage: March 10-13.
  
• Group stage: March 16-21.
• Playoffs: March 24-27.

Qualifying Teams:

• VCT 2022 - Thailand - Stage 1 - Main Event: XERXIA, Made in Thailand, FULL SENSE.
• VCT 2022 - Philippines - Stage 1 - Challengers Main Event: South Built Esports, NAOS Esports, Action PH.
• VCT 2022 - Indonesia - Stage 1 - Main Event: BOOM Esports, BOY WITH LOVE, ONIC Esports.
• VCT 2022 - Vietnam - Stage 1 - Main Event: CERBERUS Esports, Fancy United Esports, Team Big BAAM.
• VCT 2022 - Malaysia & Singapore - Stage 1 - Main Event: Paper Rex, Bleed eSports, NN.
• VCT 2022 - Hong Kong & Taiwan - Stage 1 - Main Event: Oblivion Force, Griffin E-Sports.
• VCT 2022 - Conquerors - Stage 1 - Main Event: Velocity Gaming, Global Esports.
• VOT 2022: Stage 1: Bonkers.
  

As part of the Play-In stage, eight unseeded teams will compete for four tickets to the group stage of the championship. All matches will be played in BO3 format.

Seeding for the Play-In stage

Group A:

• Team Big BAAM, ONIC Esports, FULL SENSE and Action PH.
  

Group B:

• Griffin E-Sports, Fancy United Esports, NN and Global Esports.
  

Based on the results of this stage, the final composition of the participants in the group stage of VCT 2022: APAC Stage 1 Challengers will be formed. Here, 16 teams will compete for eight spots in the playoffs of the championship. All matches will be played in BO3 format.

Seeding for the group stage

Group A:

• BOOM Esports, Made in Thailand and CERBERUS Esports.
  

Group B:

• Paper Rex, Bonkers and BOY WITH LOVE.
  

Group C:

• XERXIA, NAOS Esports and Bleed eSports.
  

Group D:

• South Built Esports, Velocity Gaming and Oblivion Force.
  

The two best teams from each group will proceed to the championship playoffs, where they will form quarter-final pairs. Next, the teams will play a classic double elimination bracket with BO3 matches. The final confrontation will take place in the BO5 format. In addition, both finalists will receive tickets to the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Masters Stage 1.

• 1st: $30,000 + VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Masters Stage 1 seat
  
• 2nd Place: $20,000 + VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Masters Stage 1 seat
• 3rd place: $12,500
• 4th place: $10,000
• 5th-6th place: $8,750
• 7th-8th place: $7,500
• 9th-12th place: $5,000
• 13th-16th place: $4,000
• 17th-18th place: $2,500
• 19th-20th place: $2,000.

VCT 2022: APAC Stage 1 Challengers will run online from March 10 to 27. Twenty teams from Asia and the Pacific will compete for a prize pool of $150,000, as well as two tickets to the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Masters Stage 1, which will go to the finalists of the tournament.
