German Amigos, Karmine Corp, Oxygen Esports and Team Vitality reach the semifinals of RLCS 2022-23 - Winter: Europe Regional 1 - Winter Open

Teams German Amigos , Karmine Corp , Oxygen Esports and Team Vitality advanced to the semi-finals of RLCS 2022-23 - Winter: Europe Regional 1 - Winter Open. According to the results of two days of the championship, they managed to defeat their opponents and form a bracket that will play for the championship title of the tournament.

The German team German Amigos, which was left without the Evil Geniuses organization a day before the start of the event, got off to a good start in the tournament, having won two victories over Team BDS (3:1) and Guild Esports (3:1) in the group stage. Having made it to the playoffs, the team first beat Williams Resolve (3:0), and then coped with Team Liquid (4:1) and advanced to the semi-finals.

The Karmine Corp team also had a great group stage where they outplayed suhhh (3:0) and Soniqs (3:2). Once in the playoffs, the French team turned out to be stronger than Vertigo Esports (3:0) and Gamers First (4:1), also making it to the 1/2 finals.

The English team Oxygen Esports, like the two previous participants, also got two victories in the group, beating Guild Esports (3:2) and German Amigos (3:1), and at the same time receiving the first seed. Already in the playoffs, the team managed to deal with Soniqs (4:2) and made it to the semi-finals.

In turn, Team Vitality got three confident wins in the group over Soniqs (3:0), suhhh (3:0) and Karmine Corp (3:2), having received a direct ticket to the quarterfinals. Here the French were able to beat Moist Esports (4:2), thus joining the fight for awards.

RLCS 2022-23 - Winter: Europe Regional 1 - Winter Open takes place from 27 to 29 January online. As part of the competition, sixteen teams from Europe are fighting for a total prize pool of $100,000, as well as rating points.

  • 1st place: $30,000 + 20 points
  • 2nd place: $20,000 + 16 points
  • 3rd-4th place: $9,000 + 12 points
  • 5th-8th place: Team Liquid, Soniqs, Gamers First and Moist Esports - $4,000 + 8 points
  • 9th-12th place: Williams Resolve, Vertigo Esports, Quadrant and Team BDS — $3,000 + 5 points
  • 13th-16th place: suhhh, Solary, Tundra Esports and Guild Esports — $1,000 + 3 points
