Northwood University Blue became the champion of Collegiate Rocket League 2022 - World Championship

Collegiate Rocket League 2022 - World Championship has come to an end. As part of the championship, which was held from June 3 to 5 in Dallas at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, 16 student teams from North America and Europe competed for a prize pool of $75,000. The winner of the tournament was the Northwood University Blue team, which in the grand final was stronger than Stockton University with a score of 4:0.

The tournament for the future winner began with a confident performance in the group stage, during which the Northwood University Blue outplayed the Salford Lions (3:0) and St. Clair College (3:0), making it to the playoffs.

Here, representatives of Northwood University beat the University of Nevada Las Vegas (3:0), Valleyfield College (4:2) and Stockton University (4:0), thanks to which they earned $20,000.

  • 1st place: Northwood University Blue — $20,000
  • 2nd place: Stockton University - $11,350
  • 3rd-4th place: St. Clair College and Valleyfield College - $6,375
  • 5th-8th place: Columbia College, University of Texas - Arlington, University of Central Florida and University of Nevada Las Vegas - $3,750.
  • 9th-12th place: Oakland University, Keele Krakens, Penn State University and Salford Lions - $2,250.
  • 13th-16th place: Berlin Phoenix, Hamburger Haie Ahoi Bois, Portsmouth Paladins and KIT SC Lawnmowers - $1,725.
