Bravado Gaming became the champion of RLCS 2021-22 - Spring: Sub-Saharan Africa Regional Event 2
/The RLCS 2021-22 - Spring: Sub-Saharan Africa Regional Event 2 has ended. At the tournament, which was held online from May 20 to 22, sixteen teams from Africa fought for a prize pool of $15,000, as well as rating points needed to qualify for Rocket League Championship Series 2021-22 - World Championship. The championship was won by the Bravado Gaming team, which outplayed Orlando Pirates Exdee in the grand final with a score of 4:3; 4:0.
The tournament for the future winner began with confident victories over Sweaty's Children (3:0), ICE Esports (3:0) and ATK (4:1). However, in the final of the upper bracket, the team lost to Orlando Pirates Exdee (3:4) and fell to the bottom of the championship. Here Bravado Gaming defeated DNMK Esports (4:2) and advanced to the grand final, where they took revenge on Orlando Pirates Exdee (4:3; 4:0).
Note that thanks to this victory, the South African team secured participation in the Rocket League Championship Series 2021-22 - World Championship, which will be held in August.
