DeToNator is RLCS Champion 2021-22 - Spring: Asia-Pacific North Regional Event 2
/The RLCS 2021-22 - Spring: Asia-Pacific North Regional Event 2 has come to an end. At the championship, which was held online from May 20 to 22, sixteen teams from Asia fought for a prize pool of $15,000, as well as precious rating points that participants need to qualify for the Rocket League Championship Series 2021-22 - Spring Split Major. The winner of the tournament was the DeToNator team, which beat Tokyo Verdy Esports with a score of 3:4 in a tense grand final; 4:1.
As part of the championship, DeToNator defeated Rocket Kickers (3:1), GracesBlaze Refine (3:0), AGELITE (4:3) and Tokyo Verdy Esports (4:3), making it to the grand final. In the decisive match, the team again defeated Tokyo Verdy Esports (3:4; 4:1), thus earning $4,500 and 401 points.
Thanks to this victory, the Japanese team became the leader of the regional table of the season, gaining a total of 751 points. Nevertheless, Tokyo Verdy Esports continues to qualify for a ticket to the Rocket League Championship Series 2021-22 - Spring Split Major, having the same number of points.
