G2 Esports won RLCS 2021-22 - Spring: North America Regional Event 2 - 7-Eleven Slurpee Cup
/RLCS 2021-22 - Spring: North America Regional Event 2 - 7-Eleven Slurpee Cup has come to an end. At the championship, which was held online from May 13 to 15, sixteen North American teams fought for a prize pool of $100,000, as well as rating points needed to qualify for the Rocket League Championship Series 2021-22 - Spring Split Major. The winner of the tournament was the G2 Esports team, which beat Version1 with a score of 4:2 in the grand final.
During the championship, G2 Esports confidently coped with the Pittsburgh Knights (3:2), Rogue (3:1), Torrent (4:0) and Team Envy (4:1), making it to the grand final. In the decisive match of the competition, the team dealt with Version1 (4:2), thanks to which they earned $30,000 and 401 points.
Note that after this victory, G2 Esports strengthened its leadership in the regional table, becoming one step closer to a trip to the Rocket League Championship Series 2021-22 - Spring Split Major.
