The RLCS 2022-23 - Winter Split Major is the main tournament of the Winter Split in the Rocket League discipline. In other words, the upcoming major is designed to complete the second third of the season on the Rocket League schedule, offering competitors ranking points that serve as eligibility criteria for the Summer World Championship.
These events are among the most significant for cyber sports teams competing in the discipline. As well as points, competitors compete for a hefty prize pool. Most importantly, each major is LAN-based and brings the best of the best together in one place.
The RLCS 2022-23 - Winter Split Major takes place April 6-9 in San Diego at the San Diego Convention Center. Sixteen teams from Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia, Oceania and the Middle East will battle it out for a combined prize pool of $310,000 and ranking points.

Format of RLCS 2022-23 - Winter Split Major
A specific discipline is that the format of the major is identical to the regional competition in one particular split. Thus, RLCS 2022-23 - Winter Split Major will be divided into two stages:
- Group stage, where all 16 teams will be divided into 4 groups.
- A playoff that will be contested by the top three teams from each group.
The group stage of the tournament will be played in a round-robin format with BO5 matches. The play-offs, on the other hand, will be a single elimination net with BO7 matches except for the first leg.

The line-up was determined by the RLCS matches results of the teams' performances in the regional divisions during the Winter Split. Thus, all 16 participants of the major were decided:
- Europe: Karmine Corp, Team Liquid, Oxygen Esports, Team Vitality and G1.
- North America: FaZe Clan, Gen.G Mobil1 Racing, G2 Esports, Complexity Gaming and Dignitas.
- Latin America: Team Secret and KRÜ Esports.
- Oceania: Ground Zero Gaming and Pioneers.
- Asia: Gaimin Gladiators.
- Middle East: Team Falcons.
