Shortly before the start of the Six Invitational 2021, the French authorities decided to close the entry of all non-European Union people. The tournament was scheduled to start on February 9th and the above decision came into effect on January 31st. This was announced by the Prime Minister of the country in which the championship is to be held, Jean Casteks.

According to the latter, border crossings will be considered on an individual basis for special cases. It is worth noting that many of the esports players who made their way to the Six Invitational 2021 are not natives of the European Union. The tournament organizers have not yet commented on the situation.
