In this betting prediction, we will try to determine which of these elite teams – T1 or Gen.G – will come out stronger and secure the first spot in the grand final of the Mid-Season Invitational 2025. It’s going to be intense.
How the bookies view it: Gen.G favorite
Before the Gen.G – T1 match begins, let’s figure out who the favorite is. There’s no intrigue in this matchup – Gen.G lead.
Bookmakers offer an average odds of around 1.5 for Gen.G’s victory. Still, underestimating T1 on the international stage would be a mistake.
Gen.G Form – What Result Can Be Expected from Gen.G
In 2023, Gen.G confidently won LCK Spring 2023, leaving no chance for T1 in the grand final. Things didn’t go as smoothly at MSI 2023, where Bilibili Gaming shockingly denied the Korean champions a spot in the final.
- Gen.G roster: Kiin, Canyon, Chovy, Ruler, Duno.
At LCK Summer 2023, Gen.G reached the playoffs with ease. During the group stage, the top Korean squad dropped only two series, finishing second with a 16-2 score.
In their first playoff match, Gen.G crushed HLE. A clean 3-0 and Gen.G were ready to make their second consecutive final appearance.
The grand final was a rematch of the qualifier for it. In the previous round, Gen.G narrowly defeated T1 3-2 in a tough series, and the final was expected to be just as close.
And in the grand final, they managed again – this time even more convincingly: Gen.G became LCK Summer Split champions, beating T1 3-1.
Worlds 2023 started with a confident Gen.G win over Gam Esports. It was quick and painful for Gam: 22 minutes and only 5 kills for the Vietnamese side.

Gen.G advanced to the Worlds 2023 playoffs with a 3-0 record. In their final group stage match, they easily dismantled G2 Esports 2-0.

Due to the new format, they went straight to the semifinals and faced Hanwha Life Esports, losing 2-3 despite being favorites. In the lower bracket, they barely beat Nongshim RedForce 3-2. Then, against DPlus KIA, they showed true class: a clean 3-0. But in the grand final, a rematch vs HLE saw Gen.G lose another Bo5 and take second place.

Players to Watch: Faker and Chovy
The key matchup in T1 vs Gen.G is in the midlane. Faker and Chovy need no introduction – they are the engines of their teams, doing the heavy lifting for T1 and Gen.G. This will be legendary.
Predicted result of the match T1 – Gen.G at MSI 2025 Logically, T1 should lose. But I thought the same in their previous match vs BLG – and the opposite happened. Mind says Gen.G, heart says T1. There’s no other way to describe it.
