Welcome to EGamersWorld.
We continue to follow the action at the League of Legends World Cup 2025. The largest international tournament of the 2025 season features a $2,000,000 prize pool.
Four teams remain in the fight for this major prize, including the reigning EWC and Worlds champions — T1 — and AG.AL, the best team from China (LPL). It is T1 and AG.AL (Anyone’s Legend) who will face each other for a spot in the Grand Final.
In our LoL betting tip, we’ll try to figure out which of the two — T1 or AL — will come out stronger and advance to the Esports World Cup 2025 Grand Final.
Let’s go.
How the bookies view it: T1 favorite
Before the AG.AL – T1 match begins, let’s see who the bookmakers consider the favorite. Here, T1 leads. The average win odds for T1 are around 1.5.
T1 Form. What to expect from T1
T1 won the LCK Spring 2022, then took second place three times: at MSI, LCK Summer, and Worlds 2022.
The “runner-up curse” followed them into 2023. They placed second at LCK Spring 2023 and third at MSI 2023.
- T1 roster: Doran, Oner, Faker, Gumayusi, Keria.
LCK Summer 2023 was tough. T1 barely made the playoffs, finishing 5th in groups with a 9–9 record.
Faker was injured, which affected the team’s performance. But now, Faker is back.
That proved crucial. T1 beat Dplus, then faced KT Rolster, who chose them as opponents — and T1 won 3–2.
In the playoff qualifier, T1 led 2–1 against Gen.G but couldn’t close the series. Gen.G came back, with Chovy outperforming Faker.
In the match for the grand final, T1 nearly lost to KT after a 2–0 lead, but Gumayusi saved them on Xayah in Game 5.
In the final, T1 faced Gen.G and lost 0–3.
Worlds 2023 began with a match against Liquid. T1 were the favorites, but it wasn’t easy — they won after a long 36-minute game, decided by a single teamfight.
In the 1–0 pool, T1 faced Gen.G — their kryptonite. Despite a good start, Gen.G adapted and won.
Then came Cloud9, who were completely stomped. T1 followed with a 2–0 win over BLG, the MSI 2023 runners-up.
In the playoffs, T1 swept LNG 3–0. Scout, once considered the tournament’s best mid, had no answer.
In the semifinals, T1 faced JD Gaming, a tournament favorite. The Chinese squad lost 1–3. T1 reached their sixth Worlds final — and won their fourth title, setting a historic record.
In LCK Spring 2024, T1 started strong but dropped to 15–3 and finished 3rd. In the playoffs, they lost 0–3 to HLE, beat Dplus KIA 3–0, and took revenge on HLE 3–1 to qualify for MSI 2024.
At MSI 2024, T1 placed second in the LCK. They cruised through the Play-In, beat G2 3–2 in the Bracket Stage, but lost to BLG 1–3. They then beat Liquid and G2 again, but lost to BLG once more 1–3.
They paused LCK Summer 2024 at 5–1 to participate in the Esports World Cup 2024 — and won it, defeating Top Esports in the grand final for $1,000,000.
T1 returned to finish LCK Summer with an 11–7 record and 4th place. In the playoffs, they beat KT, lost to HLE, beat Dplus, and lost to HLE again, finishing Top-3.
They qualified for Worlds 2024 through the regional finals, narrowly beating KT 3–2.
At Worlds, they lost to Top Esports, beat paiN Gaming and BLG, and defeated G2 to reach the playoffs.
In the playoffs, they swept TES 3–0. Then finally beat Gen.G 3–1 — their first win over them in a year — and won the grand final vs BLG 3–2 to become five-time Worlds champions.
In 2025, they topped Baron Group 4–1, beat Nongshim RedForce 2–0 in Play-In, but lost to HLE in the first playoff round (Top-6 finish).
They reached the Road to MSI 2025 via 3rd place in earlier rounds. They beat KT Rolster and HLE to qualify for MSI 2025.
At MSI 2025, T1 started in Round 1 of the Knockout Stage. They narrowly beat CFO 3–2, then swept BLG 3–0. In the upper bracket final, they lost 2–3 to Gen.G, but then beat Anyone’s Legend 3–2 in a do-or-die match. However, T1 failed to defeat their main rival in the grand final: Gen.G won 3–2, claiming another MSI championship.
At the Esports World Cup 2025, T1 started from the playoff bracket, bypassing the Bo1 group stage battles. In the first round, they defeated MKOI 3–1.

Anyone’s Legend form. What result can be expected from AL
Anyone’s Legend made a surprising breakthrough at LPL Summer 2024, thanks in part to the revised tournament format. They began the LPL Summer 2024 in Group D, where they finished first. Later, in the Rumble Stage, AL placed Top-6 with a 3–5 record, which allowed them to go directly into Round 2 of the main stage. Advancing to the LPL Summer 2024 playoffs, AL cleared the second round but lost to TES, ultimately placing Top-6 in LPL Summer 2024.
- Anyone’s Legend roster: Flandre, Tarzan, Shanks, Hope, Kael.
The 2025 season started for Anyone’s Legend, like for most teams, with the group stage of LPL Split 1, which they won. They then played confidently through the playoffs up to the grand final, where they lost to TES, missing out on First Stand 2025.
In LPL 2025 Split 2, they won Group B, then placed second in the Rumble Stage, securing a playoff spot. In their debut playoff match, AL defeated Team WE 3–0. Next was another solid performance against Weibo, which they won 3–1. In the Top-3 match, they beat 2024 runners-up BLG 3–2. In the grand final, they overcame Bilibili Gaming again — and even more confidently than before — 3–1.
After winning LPL Split 2, Anyone’s Legend started directly in the Mid-Season Invitational 2025 Knockout Stage. In Round 1, AL defeated FlyQuest 3–1. But Gen.G didn’t let them go further, winning 3–2. Dropping to the lower bracket, AL passed two rounds, beating FlyQuest and BLG, but lost to T1 in the match for the grand final. As a result — Top-3 at MSI 2025.
AG.AL started the Esports World Cup 2025 with a victory over HLE with a score of 3–1.

T1 – AL head to head: T1 edging it
In the 2025 season, these teams played each other at the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2025, where T1 won the series 3–2.
Predicted result of the match between AL – T1 at LoL EWC 2025
In this match, I expect a T1 victory. I think the result will be the same as it was at MSI 2025, although in a Bo3, the Chinese team might have a better chance than in a Bo5.
Prediction tip: T1 win.
