Welcome to EGamersWorld.
We continue our series of betting tips dedicated to the European League of Legends. In particular, we are talking about matches in the LEC – Europe’s premier tournament.
LEC Spring 2025 is currently in the playoff stage, which will determine not just the best team of LEC Spring 2025, but also the participants for MSI 2025 and the Esports World Cup 2025. Among the contenders for a spot there are Karmine Corp and MKOI.
They will face each other in the lower bracket final, where the winner will advance to the Mid-Season Invitational 2025 and the Esports World Cup 2025.
How the bookies view it: Karmine Corp favorite
Before diving into the actual betting tips, it's worth determining who is the favorite in the KC – MKOI matchup. In our case, this is quite easy to do: the undisputed favorite of the match is KC.
Bookmakers are offering odds of 1.27 for a KC victory, and I fully agree with that. After all, the reigning LEC champions and participants of First Stand 2025 are clearly better than the frankly “average” MKOI. However, things could still change during the match, and we’ll talk about that.
Karmine Corp form. What result can be expected from KC
We start our betting tip with an analysis of the current form of Karmine Corp, who are entering this as favorites. Understandably so, as they are the reigning LEC champions.
Despite their large popularity in Europe, Karmine Corp are newcomers to the LEC. Before this, the French team played on the local scene, competing against fellow countrymen and also participating in various Tier-2 events within the LEC ecosystem.
In 2023, the team had a solid track record, participating in 4 tournaments. For professional League of Legends teams, this is a significant indicator, as most of them compete exclusively within a single league.
Karmine Corp started off in the LFL Spring 2023 and performed terribly. In the local league, the team ended the group stage with a 7-11 record, which wasn’t even enough to qualify for the playoffs.
Things significantly improved afterward, and Karmine Corp lifted the championship trophy twice in a row. First at LFL Summer 2023, then at EMEA Masters Summer 2023. By the way, Karmine Corp have won the Masters four times in the team’s history, which is a notable achievement.
Their last tournament of the previous season was the Coup De France 2024. Whether it wasn’t a priority event or they were completely out of form, KC only managed a TOP-8 finish.
- Karmine Corp roster: Canna, Yike, Vladi, Caliste, Targamas.
Karmine Corp joined the LEC by acquiring the slot from Astralis. The Danish club, having failed to deliver results last season, decided to sell its place in the prestigious league. Whether that was the right decision – we’ll find out later.
In their first match of LEC Winter 2024, Karmine Corp played against Fnatic. I believed in a KC victory in that match. After that – they faced G2 Esports, where things were expected to be much tougher. However, everything turned out the opposite: KC beat Fnatic, while G2 Esports easily won as expected – a clean victory for the “samurais.”
Karmine Corp officially became the worst team of LEC Winter 2024 ahead of time. Before their final match of the regular season, KC had a 1-7 record, with their only win coming in Week 3 against SK Gaming. The only consolation was a prestige point earned in their last group stage match.
In LEC Spring 2024, Karmine Corp repeated their “success” from the winter split. That is, they again took last place, with an identical result of 2 wins and 7 losses.
In LEC Summer 2024, they made the playoffs from 5th place with a 4-5 record. They debuted in the playoffs with a match against G2 Esports, losing 0-2. Surprisingly, Karmine Corp swept MAD Lions KOI in the first round of the lower bracket, defeating the more titled opponent 2-0. Then came another victory, this time against another strong team – SK Gaming. In the end, they reached the TOP-4, but ran out of steam, and BDS eliminated Karmine Corp from the tournament.
Karmine Corp had a good group stage in LEC Winter 2025. Canna and company shared second place in the group stage with G2 and KOI, finishing with a 6-3 record. In the first round of playoffs, Karmine Corp confidently defeated Team Vitality, then won against KOI with the same score. The match against G2 was a different story and resulted in a 1-3 loss. In the lower bracket, KOI barely edged out Fnatic 3-2, but in the grand final, something unbelievable happened: Karmine Corp demolished G2, beating Europe’s top team 3-0, leaving the “samurais” no chance.
At First Stand 2025, Karmine Corp didn’t show their best play. The LEC champions ended with a 1-3 record, but thanks to certain circumstances and map difference, they made it to the playoffs. In the semifinal, they played a tough Bo5 against CFO and came out on top. In the grand final, however, the LEC champions Karmine Corp lost to HLE 1-3.
Karmine Corp won the group stage of LEC Spring 2025 with an 8-1 record. In their first playoff match, they unexpectedly lost to KOI with a 2-3 scoreline. Dropping to the lower bracket, they defeated Heretics and then crushed Fnatic, securing a TOP-3 finish.

MKOI form. What result can be expected from KOI
We continue our LoL betting tip for LEC Spring 2025 with an analysis of KOI’s current form. They are the underdogs in the match against KC, which is logical.
KOI have long been a part of the LEC ecosystem, sometimes making it to the main tournament, sometimes dropping out. Last season, KOI actually played under the name MAD Lions. If we talk about KOI as a separate organization, things are fairly modest.
- KOI roster: Myrwyn, Elyoya, Jojopyun, Supa, Alvaro.
In the 2023 season, KOI participated in the LEC but didn’t achieve much. After a top performance at LEC Winter 2023, where they placed TOP-3, they finished TOP-6 and TOP-8 in LEC Spring 2023 and LEC Summer 2023, respectively. However, KOI still have a strong core, since much of the MAD Lions roster remains – and they were once strong contenders against top teams like G2 and Fnatic.
After their “comeback” to the big League of Legends stage, KOI performed excellently in the LEC Winter 2025 group stage. The team finished with a 6-3 record, tied with G2 and Karmine Corp. In the LEC Winter 2025 playoffs, KOI beat BDS 2-0, but then lost to Karmine Corp 0-2. In the lower bracket, they defeated GiantX 0-2. They got past GiantX again but lost to Fnatic in the following match, ending LEC Winter 2025 in 4th place.
Over the 6 weeks of LEC Spring 2025, the team secured a spot in the playoffs. In the opening playoff match of LEC Spring 2025, KOI surprisingly defeated Karmine Corp 3-2, advancing to the upper bracket final. There, they faced G2 Esports and lost as expected, 1-3.
Most popular champions for KOI
Top lane: Fiora (2 matches, 100% win rate), K’Sante (2 matches, 50% win rate), Renekton (1 game, 100% win rate), Gnar (1 game, loss).Jungle: Sejuani (3 matches, 66% win rate), Wukong (2 matches, 50% win rate), Maokai (1 match, win).Mid lane: Viktor (2 matches, 1-1), Akali (2 matches, 1-1), Azir and Sylas (1 match each, both won).ADC: Varus (3 matches, 66% win rate), Lucian (2 matches, 1-1), Sivir (1 match, win).Supports: Thresh (2 matches, 1-1), Lulu (2 matches, 1-1), Nami and Ashe (1 match each, both wins).
Recent head to head: KC edging it
Looking at the head-to-head history, KC has the advantage. Out of the last 5 series, KC has won 4, but they did lose the LEC Spring 2025 Playoffs Round 1 match 2-3.
Players to watch: Canna and Jojopyun
Notable players in the MKOI – Karmine Corp match include Canna (KC) and Jojopyun (KOI). Both imports have performed excellently in the LEC and have already earned MVP titles both in playoffs and the regular season. It’s logical to assume the top lane will go to KC, while the mid lane will go to KOI. That means the lion’s share of impact will come from the bot lane and jungle.
Predicted result of the match between KC – MKOI at LEC Spring 2025 Playoffs
In this match, I’m betting on a Karmine Corp win. Despite their loss to KOI in the first playoff round, we’ve seen them gain momentum in the lower bracket and completely dismantle Fnatic. They will once again represent Europe at an international tournament and try to defend their LEC champion title in the grand final against G2.
Betting Prediction: Karmine Corp.
