Welcome to EGamersWorld.
The League of Legends 2025 competitive season is moving steadily towards its climax, Worlds 2025. Before the Worlds, however, there are the final games of the regional leagues.
LCK 2025, the world title league, has 4 teams left in the race for the championship. Among them are KT and Hanwha Life Esports, who will play each other for the first trip to the grand finals.
Let's see which of the KT - Hanwha Life Esports pair will be stronger and will make it to the grand finals, who will have to try again, but already in the lower part of the LCK 2025 play-offs grid.
Let's go.
How the bookie view it: HLE in favour
Hanwha Life Esports are the favourites ahead of the match. Zeus and company are given 1.35 to win, while KT has odds of 3.1.
HLE Form: What to expect from HLE
We start our analysis of the HLE vs KT match by looking at the HLE form. In this clash, they are playing as the number one side.
HLE, being a solid mid-table side, have only started entering the late stages of regular splits since 2023. Before that, in the 2022 season, HLE were the worst team in the league, twice finishing in 10th place in the regulars.
They managed to improve their results in 2023 after a major roster change. Two reigning world champions joined the team, which significantly strengthened the club.
- HLE roster: Zeus, Peanut, Zeka, Viper, Delight.
With the addition of Zeka and Kingen, the HLE team became noticeably stronger. So much so that in the spring split of LCK 2023 they were in the top 4. The latest addition was Grizzly, a jungler who moved up from the academic squad.
The changes did seem to have an effect. HLE finished top-3 in the regular season, which, considering the competition from teams like Dplus and T1, can be considered a good achievement.
In the first play-offs match HLE "warmed up" on DRX. Formally, the reigning world champions could not oppose HLE's plans, and the match was confidently closed with a score of 3:0.
However, then things didn't go so smoothly: HLE met Gen.G and lost with a score of 0:3. The team dropped to the bottom set of the play-offs, but that didn't help them advance any further.
Hanwha Life Esports played KT Rolster in the first match of the last chance grid. The pressure proved too much and HLE were swept away: 0:3, falling out of the play-offs and, at the same time, losing their chance to qualify for Worlds 2023.
They tried to qualify for the Worlds through the regional finals, but again failed. The team finished in the top 3 at the LCK season finals, failing to capitalise on either of their two attempts to qualify for Worlds: first losing 1-3 to KT Rolster and then to Ledge or Dplus KIA with the same result.
Hanwha Life Esports finished the LCK 2024 Spring Split in the top 3. Once again, the team fell one series short of advancing to the international LAN tournament.
In the first and second rounds of LCK 2025, they had a decent showing, taking second place with a 13-3 overall score.
At the Road to MSI 2025 tournament, they Long Cogged from the top net final against Gen.G, where they led 2-0, but suffered a Reverse Sweep and lost 2-3. Next up, a scoreless loss against T1 (0-3) and HLE were out of MSI 2025.
LCK Season 2025 (aka Summer Split) HLE did quite well: first they finished top 2 in the first group stage, then the same position in the second group stage, thus ending up in the second round of play-offs. In the first match of the play-offs HLE defeated their principal rival T1 3-0.

KT form: What to expect from KT
We continue our betting prediction for the match KT vs HLE with a breakdown of the KT form.
- KT Rolster lineup: PerfecT, Cuzz, Bdd, deokdam, Way.
At LCK Summer 2023 KT Rolster clearly want to at least repeat the result of the spring. In the group stage, KT rolled over all of their opponents, closing it out with a score of 17-1.
In the first round of play-offs KT Rolster chose T1 as their opponent. Confident after a successful group stage, KT Rolster stumbled against T1 and lost the match with a score of 2-3.
In the first round of the lower grid KT Rolster met HLE, who fell there after an uninspiring loss to Gen.G. The match with KT ended with an identical scenario: 0-3 and here KT Rolster are.
Once in the bottom of the grid, Rolster first defeated Hanwha Life Esports (3-0) and then played T1 again. This time the win was even closer as KT Rolster led 2-0, but T1 was there to reverse sweep and turn the series 3-2 in their favour.
KT Rolster made it to the 2023 Worlds via the South Korean regional finals. KT Rolster played one series and that was against Hanwha Life Esports. Winning the match was no problem and Rolster joined T1 and Gen.G in the main event and home tournament of the year.
Rolster opened the World Championship itself with a match against BLG, who they lost to. Two wins followed, first defeating fellow regionals Dplus and then beating Weibo Gaming.
At 2-1, KT Rolster faced LNG Esports and lost 1-2. In the play-offs match, Rolster played their compatriots from DPlus and ran over them 2-0 without much trouble.
However, KT Rolster failed to advance beyond the first round of the play-offs. They ran into JD Gaming and lost 1-3, thus ending their Worlds appearances in the top 8.
KT Rolster finished the LCK Spring 2024 regular season in 4th place with a score of 11-7. In the play-offs, however, they reached the Top 5, Ledgeiv DPlus KIA in a match to advance to the Top 4.
In the LCK Summer 2024 play-offs, KT Rolster came from 5th place, having played the regular season with a score of 9-9. At the end of the play-offs, they finished in the top 5, which is kind of good, but far from good.
In the 2025 season, KT Rolster visited the LCK Cup 2025. There the titular Korean club managed to take the top 5, which can be called a good result considering the competition within LCK.
On the Road to MSI 2025 KT Rolster passed with a bit of grief. To get there they had to play a tiebreaker against DPLUS, and KT won 2-1.

The teams have played each other 5 times in the 2025 season. KT managed to win only 1 match out of 5.
Predicted result of the match between HLE - KT at LCK Season 2025 Playoffs
In this match my bet is on HLE. I think the trend of this season will continue and HLE will beat the less titled team again. However, KT can surprise, as they beat Gen.G in the last round, which is already an achievement.
Prediction: HLE win 3-1.
