We're continuing our look at the LEC Spring 2025 matches. The group stage continues where 10 top teams from Europe battle it out for slots in the play-offs, of which there are 6.

Also at stake are two trips to the Esports World Cup 2025 and Mid-Season Invitational 2025. Fighting for these prizes will be Heretics - KOI.

KOI Form

Let's open the KOI vs Team Heretics match with the analysis of KOI's form. In this match, they play the number one with odds to win around 1.6.

KOI has been "inside" the LEC ecosystem for a long time and have been in the main tournament, i.e. LEC, and then they fall out of it. For example, last season KOI was actually MAD Lions. If we talk about KOI as a separate organisation, then everything is quite modest there.

KOI roster: Myrwyn, Elyoya, Jojopyun, Supa, Alvaro.

In the 2023 season, KOI participated in the LEC. They didn't have much success. After a top performance at LEC Winter 2023, where KOI finished top 3, they were top 6 and top 8 at LEC Spring 2023 and LEC Summer 2023 respectively. However, KOI's roster is pretty fighting, as the core of MAD Lions remained, and they used to be a pretty strong competitor for G2 and Fnatic level tops.

After "comeback" on the big stage of League of Legends, KOI showed themselves perfectly in the group stage of LEC Winter 2025. The team won it 6-3, sharing the position with G2 and Karmine Corp. Once in the LEC Winter 2025 play-offs, KOI beat BDS 2-0, but then Ledge and Karmine Corp 2-0. In the bottom set of the main stage, they beat GiantX 0-2. Then beat GiantX, but lost to Fnatic in the following match, making the LEC Winter 2025 top 4.

The first week of LEC Spring 2025 KOI went 0-2 in the series and 2-4 in the map.

Most Popular MAD Lions Champions

Fiora (2 matches, 100% wins) and K'Sante (2 matches, 50% wins) appeared in the top for MAD Lions most often. Renekton (1 game, 100% wins) and Gnar (1 game and that defeat) were also taken.

Sejuani (3 matches, 66% wins) is popular in the forest. Next is Wukong with 2 appearances and 50% wins, and there was also Maokai who won his only match.

On the centre line, Viktor (1-1) and Akali (1-1) have 2 matches each. Azir and Sylas won their matches.

Among shooters Varus appeared most often (3 matches, 66% of wins). Lucian was picked 2 times (1-1) and Sivir was picked once more (1-0).

Thresh (1-1), Lulu (1-1) were picked more often than others. Nami and Ashe, who appeared 1 time each, won their matches.

Form Heretics

We continue our analysis of Heretics - KOI match with the analysis of Heretics' form. In this match Heretics play the second number with odds to win at around 1.9.

Heretics have been in the LEC structure since 2022. In their "debut" season Team Heretics played on the TIR-2 stage, more specifically in Superliga Summer 2022 (top-1), European Masters Summer 2022 (top-1) and Iberian Cup 2022, where they finished top-2.

In 2023, the Heretics entered the LEC series of tournaments. The successes were not so good: first TOP-8 at LEC Winter 2023, with SK Gaming knocking them out.

In spring the situation only got worse: Heretics again failed in the group stage, this time playing it with a score of 3-6 and not making it to the play-offs.

In the next round of the LEC draw, Team Heretics performed their best as an affiliate team. They took the top 4 at LEC Summer 2023, Ledge and Fnatic in a battle for the top 3. Heretics secured $5,512 by finishing in the top 4.

After a series of bad performances last year, Heretics changed their roster by signing top European players. Let's see how they will do against the strongest representatives of the region.

The group stage of LEC Winter 2024 was not so good. The team was quite brisk in the group stage, but later slipped to 4-5.

Going into the play-offs Heretics faced BDS - the best team of the group stage of LEC Winter 2024. The French club fully justified their status by winning 2-0 and Heretics travelled to the bottom of the group stage.

The LEC Winter 2024 play-offs did not last long. Heretics defeated SK Gaming 1-2 in the first match of the main stage, leaving the championship at the TOP-8 stage.

At the end of the LEC Spring 2024 regular season Heretics finished in the top 4. In the first round of play-offs Heretics faced BDS and rather ignominiously fell to the bottom net after a 0-2 defeat. Already in a match for life in the first round they played against SK Gaming where they won 2-1 and it was pretty tough. Next was a match with Fnatic, which ended 2-3 in favour of the Orange, and Heretics missed a chance to prove themselves at the Mid-Season Invitational 2024.

The Heretics made it to the LEC Summe 2024 Playoffs by a slim margin. They finished in 6th place with a score of 3-6.

The LEC Summer 2024 playoffs began with a very lacklustre loss against SK Gaming. After a similarly lacklustre performance against GiantX and a top-7 exit.

Heretics finished the group stage of LEC Winter 2025 with a bit of grief, taking the 8th place with a score of 3-6. In the first round of play-offs Heretics fell to Fnatic, where they lost 0-2, which was highly expected. Next up was a lower grid match and a 1-2 loss to GiantX and a top-8 finish.
