Match Prediction: Team SoloMid - Dignitas | LoL
LCS Summer 2023 - PlayoffsWelcome to EGamersWorld.
Regional League of Legends is gaining momentum with play-offs in key competitive regions. In North America, the main stage of LoL's premier local tournament, LCS Summer 2023, continues.
With the first round of the top grid behind us, it's now time to move on to break down the lower grid matches. These are games for life in the bo3 format.
The lower grid matches will be opened by TSM and Dignitas. In the bo5 match, the teams will fight for the right to stay in the tournament and claim 1 of the 3 slots at Worlds 2023.
We'll try to figure out which team will be more capable of going further, and who will have to say goodbye to their ambitions of representing their region at Worlds 2023 this October.
Let's get started.
Team SoloMid uniforms
Let's start the match analysis with an analysis of TSM's playing form. They are the favourites to play here.
Bookmakers confirm the situation. The odds betting on League of Legends for TSM victory are at 1.5.
It's not hard to believe, but I wouldn't get ahead of myself. TSM is not a team I'm willing to back blindly.
The fact is that there is no stability in Stun Team SoloMid. The only thing they manage to do from season to season is to shepherd the rear.
The team spent the whole year 2022 at the bottom of the regional rankings. At LCS Lock-In 2022 and LCS Spring 2022 the team took the penultimate, 9th place. The team did not perform much better at the summer split last year, but it was top 6.
- TSM lineup: Hauntzer, Bugi, Insanity, WildTurtle, Chime, Ruby (stand-in).
The mediocre performance continued in the new season. The team finished the first split in 7th place, after which the roster started to be replaced. The last one was the arrival in the roster of mid laner Insanity, who previously played for Dignitas youth team.
At the LCS 2023 summer split, the team made it to the play-offs from the 6th place, having secured a slot in the upper grid. In the first match of the main stage they gave Evil Geniuses Bo1, but failed to finish and lost with a score of 2-3.
Most popular TSM heroes
The most popular champion on the top line is Gnar (10 games, 90% wins). Jayce appeared 8 times and the winrate was 87%. Kenen was played 4 times and won all matches, KSante 4 times and 3 wins, Renekton 4 times and 2 wins.
In the forest were Vi (11 matches, 72% wins), Sejuani (10 games, 80% wins), Wukong (7 matches, 85% wins), Le Sin (6 games, 83% wins).
On the centre line it was Azir (13 games, 69% wins), Gragas (6 matches, 100% wins), Kassadin (5 games, 100% wins), Viktor (4 matches, 75% wins).
The most popular ADC is Lucian (12 matches, 83% wins). Next are Varus (8 games, 87% wins), Caitlyn (5 games, 100% wins), Zeri (4 matches, 75% wins).
Nami (13 matches, 84% winrate). Ashe and Lux have 4 games and 4 wins each.
Dignitas Form
We continue the match analysis from the first round of the lower play-offs with an analysis of Dignitas' form. They are playing catch-up.
Bookmakers do not really believe in Dignitas. The odds on the club's success are estimated at around 2.3.
However, given the format of the match, such an assessment is still nothing. The gap is minimal, as is the difference between the teams.
Dignitas did not have the best results last season. It was more like an abysmal one.
While 2022 started with a top-4 finish at LCS Lock-In 2022, the performance at the main LCS events was much worse. At LCS Spring 2022 the team took the top 7, and at LCS Summer 2022 it was already the 10th place.
The situation did not change in 2023. In LCS Spring 2023 Dignitas finished in 10th place. The last, 10th place.
- Dignitas line-up: Rich, Santorin, Jensen, Tomo, Diamond, poome.
Due to the disappointing performance in recent tournaments, Dignitas resorted to the tactic of the two players. Simply put, they swap Diamond and poome at times, but it does not bring much result.
Dignitas finished the LCS Summer 2023 group stage in 7th place, just a little bit short of the top spot.
They will have to start the play-offs from the lower grid, where the first opponent will be warmed up TSM.
The most popular Dignitas champions
The top line is home to KSante (4 matches, 75% wins), Jax (2 matches, 0% wins), and Quinn (2 matches, 50% wins).
Foresters include Sejuani (5 matches, 60% wins), Maokai (3 matches, 0% wins), Poppy (3 games, 33% winrate).
On the centre line Azir (3 matches, 33% win rate), Annie (2 matches, 50% win rate), Ahri (2 matches, 0% win rate), Orianna (2 matches, 100% win rate).
The most popular shooters are Aphelios (4 matches, 50% wins), Ashe (3 matches, 33% wins), Jinx (2 matches, 0% wins), Xayah (2 matches, 100% wins).
Supporting champions include Rell (4 matches, 50% wins), Rakan (2 matches, 100% wins), Nautilus (2 matches, 50% wins).
History of head-to-head meetings between Dignitas and TSM
During the 2023 season the teams met each other 4 times. Three times TSM won and only 1 time Dignitas won.
Predicted result of the match Dignitas - TSM
Despite the first face-to-face bo5 between the teams in the 2023 season, TSM still have a big advantage due to winning almost all face-to-face matches. In favour of Team SoloMid's win argument is also the wagering of TSM this season. At the very least, they are looking more upbeat and it is obvious that they are progressing, unlike Dignitas, who are stagnating.
Bottom line: TSM wins.
